Thank you both for this informative video. I will be coming back to this once I get my hands on this software. Thank you once again Mr. Feranec for being the individual who provided such valuable content for the start of my career as an electronics design engineer. 1 year in, and many more to to go hopefully :) I am certain I'm not the only one whose life you have touched!
Thank you for giving a design on particle application. I'm working on a conformal antenna. There is a simulation error while in the port assignment. Can give suggestions on how to assign a port for bending antenna.
Ansys is not a software that anyone can afford, it is pretty good but really expensive. Also using all these expensive software you need to take a loan from a bank to just start. They offer a nice version 30d for evaluation but then end of the story. very powerful and more specific for PCB is Keysight ADS, expensive. you usually buy the software licence and you need to renew each year at really huge price. I am not arguing that the software is not ok, it is pretty damn ok! but to afford these software you need to learn how to use and 30 days evaluation means almost nothing if you start from scratch. I sincerely see the happiness of Robert when looks at these beautiful, btw complex, software. Is there any chance Robert to investigate if into the free software land or at least at fair economic price software can help Electronic PCB designers to alleviate the risks making critical PCBs by using these software?
This software is so expensive, ANYSYS won't even be open and honest with just how much is actually costs. It is "price on application" My understanding is that this software is unaffordable for an independent PCB designer, by an order of magnitude. e.g. Reported 'starting' pricing for their Workbench is $30K. The TCO is higher. Want to model that human head in your design?, well their Human Body model costs an extra $10,830 ! i.e. An independent PCB design consultant has no hope of buying this software and then getting enough added-value from it to make an overall profit. The cost of the simulation tools required to do modern PCB designs is pricing us out of the market, and I am very worried about it.
I perfectly agree. As consultant you have to work really hard to afford that software. As employee you cannot affor in your entire life these software if you dont work for a big company that can invest on you with a real pack of money to use that softwre. Pretty coool to see nice pictures of current density on the PCB the Field emitted around the PCB and the heat spread everywhere. thanks but even looking at the training sessions video of Altium they show always something barely limited or usable only if you attach the license to use Ansys or other tools alonside Altium.
Hi Markus hope you are doing well, this tutorial is so cool, I am master's student and working on ANSYS for my thesis project where I am using SBR+ solution type, hoping that if you could help be resolve a couple of problems that I am facing? or provide me a guideline?
@@CallistoPili But at the same time I'm well familiar with ADS, used to its oddities and khow how to workaround most of them. Have good experience with Genesys and SystemVue. But from Keysight CAE-stack I really dont like only EMPro :(
Ansys Maxwell commercial licence is in ballpark of 50-80k$ per seat. They are considered the cheap option on the market. You can extrapolate from there.

Awesome! Thanks Robert and Markus for such great video!
Thank you so much for this webinar. It was great! Maybe, you should add this Ansys HFSS course in your academy.
Amazing. Appreciate your videos sir
Brilliant video Robert.. keep up the great work..
Very outstanding show, thanks much better.
Literally am going from using Ableton to soft and tNice tutorials helped trendously as a beginner. Thank you so so much for tNice tutorials!!
Great Tutorial... Learn more from this vlog
Amazing software. Would definitely want to see more features of Ansys.
I dont have money enough to buy these software. they are pretty good for simulation, but the learning curve is not steep!
Robin Williams sure does know a lot about antennas

Does knowing how to play softal tutorial necessary?
Could you please advice how to get the full version and the evms!
how you get hand model ,have you import it kindly expalin it breifly
Good day . I am looking for introductory reading material to PCB design, please help
HFSS is too overcoplexed for my mind and has old-fashioned GUI. CST or FEKO is much easier to understand. Only EMPro is worse
Keysight ADS is a monstre software package

Agreed
Yes sort of but I reccond setupxx
mine just got thermal shutdown
mine too
FRRRR all the layering n buttons i cant keep up
Did he mention how much this software costs?
Never mind it’s at the end.
I don't know exactly, but it is bloody expensive

@@Konecny_M it is a t similar price like "Keysight ADS"
this is horrible... why would i want to watch somebody interrupt all the time?
