Yes, if you watch the entire video, it is shown that Split Horizon will lose hardware offloading and thus will not make use of switch chip.

Good question and was not included in this video - what if there is a bridge IP and split horizon is configured - whether the same or different value, clients can ping the bridge IP. Also our RUclips channel is just months only, not years. Maybe you are referring to some other channel.
