the only thing that has made me think about spiritual/physical relation is music, love and drugs (entheogens) and the ego thing is true..we need to keep it small for its necessity but not get rid of it.

There is the idea the ego is holding on and will try to resist the forthcoming change that Terrance is alluding to here. This idea is still very much unconscious in many and is a core belief of many, that "change is not good"... Don't forget the speed it's accelerating at lol
nah its a biological program to teach how to love. it enables you to hurt yourself and be self loathing so you can understand love. the ego is ur only true enemy. love your enemy
I don't think ego is always a problem... as long as you are not too attached to it. It is a form of awareness and we need that to evolve. Many great feats are acheive because of ego. I guess it all depends how we use it. Preferable not to destroy the planet!
zabelicious you're right however the problem is that we take it as real too much. The ego is a fundamental necessity if you wish to have an exsperience of anything. However to much of it is like having diabetes and eating more cake. It can kill you.
I think the ego is our game..the game we play in pretending were not it but I wouldn't say we need the ego I wouldn't say its a necessity.. perhaps a bitter sweet mistake of the universe
