For those looking for infinite ON-OFF-ON-OFF cycle without needing a trigger signal, look at 11:48 for program number 3. NOTE: 1. When your are setting the time in program 3, if you set the time "OFF' first (by setting the time while it's in off mode), then, it will also START in the 'off' mode every time you power it up. 2. If you set the "ON" time FIRST, then (by setting the time while it's in "ON" mode), then, it will always start in "ON" mode every time you power it up.

Pressing K1 in P-3 mode will change "OFF' first or "ON" first every time you power it up.

Steven Lee dude it does not matter how many light bulbs you use as long as the total amperage does not exceed 10 amps. If it does use a solid state relay triggered by this module.

Nice explanation. I had procured this PCB board it's cheap and best for delay timer automation.
For more durability of pcb you can give input power and trigger signal both in 5 vdc instead of giving 12 vdc. Reason is there is no heatsink attached with voltage regulator ic which is converting 12 v into 5 v. If we apply 12 v input then excess heat will damage the voltage regulator IC. Input Upto 6 v 0.5A max will increase the durability and stability of this board even if it is used for continuous operations 24x7.
Relay build quality is very nice it can withstand more than in household voltage and current ratings. No issue in operating heavy loads through relay.
One good protection is provided through opto couplers ics for reverse bias protection and reverse current flow protection. Overall I can say it's a industrial standard design.

Brilliant explanation. Without your help would never have understood the detailed instructions as translated. I am using it in P6 to power a DPDT relay to reverse current for a model tram shuttle (auto back and forth). In test with LEDS (in parallel with reverse polarity) it flips/reverses current well to the exact time. However, the screen goes blank after the first switch, while the current reversal and timer continue to work. Disconnect the DPDT then apply power and the display works fine. I have tried diodes, separate power supply etc., but it seems to not like the surge required to start the DPDT coil or the surge when DPDT coil power is cut.

Outstanding explanation of the abilities and practical uses, thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge of this device.
I will be using this to control my dust collection system in my wood shop. I will use P-4 to be a delay to run my blower motor off after a few seconds after I have turned off the tool that started the DC system. This module will turn on a solid state relay since my DC system draws more that 10 amps.
As for the trigger part of the project I will use a current tap to trigger this module.

I ended up using one of these and it triggers but the dc motor im connecting on the right side doesn't spin at all. What I have going on is a 9v battery connected into a bread board then a wire coming from the power of the 9v on the bread board to the top left and a wire connected to the ground of the 9v on the battery going to the bottom left and a wire in the middle left that triggers from a signal from a push button to the middle left. (signal works because countdown enables on this module when the button is pressed) and on the right side i've tried 1 wire in the breadboard ground from the 9v from the dc motor and the other wire of the dc motor in the middle right or even top right of the module with a power wire coming from the 9v on the breadboard on the bottom right but it doesn't ever trigger the dc motor like it's not getting any power. I've tried taking the wire from the bottom right and touching the middle right where the wire from the dc motor is connected and it does not trigger. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks!

    • @Later2u
      @Later2u Год назад

@@mikescotese620 Yes, I got it to work. What I did was put a fuse block that I could connect everything aftermarket behind the dash I had power to it. You may just have a radio, I have a few other things. I ran power directly to the battery via a relay. This device controls the relay. It works great, but now my radio is powered for however many seconds I've programmed it for, which is fine if your in the vehicle for ~5 mins. But if you just get out, radio is still running until the timer stops. Now I need to put another relay, smaller one, to have the door opening, dome light comes on, to stop power to this timer and shut down the radio. I'm going to do the second relay soon and then everything should work as I first envisioned it. A few hoops to jump through, but doable. The program I used, I think, is the one where there is a delay start. Timer off for a period of time, I have it at zero seconds, and then the powered on for however long you want it on. Hope this helps.

when you say "power goes and resumes" is it unexpected "goes and resumes" ? if so this device doesn't have another timer to do this. If this power disruption is due to power blackout , then you have to have another relay module between this and your fridge to prevent it it from doing this.

Hello Robojax, thank you for your detailed video. I bought the timer, not realizing, that the trigger ALWAYS has turn off in order to make the timer start and let a lamp turn off after some seconds. Is there a way, to accomplish that with this relais?: Trigger: turn on the lamp - wait 5 seconds - turn off the lamp. The state of the trigger would be irrelevant.
If this is not possible with this relais, do you know a relais with that I can do this? I would be very thankful If you could / would help me.

Robojax Hello Robojax, thanks alot for answering. Well the trigger isnt really the problem, it works. The problem is, that the trigger doesn‘t turn off automatically. This wouldn‘t be a problem if the timer (P-2) would start immediately after the trigger was recognized. The problem is, that the relais waits for the trigger signal to turn off. But in my case this will never happen. Therefore I cant use this relais. Is there really no way of acheiving this? ☹️

Hi Dimitris, As I mentioned at 1:25 (click on the 1:25. I had to watch the video to find it) it is triggered at 5V. Anyting above up to 12 should be find. It doesn't need much current perhaps less than 1mA.
If you want to change input signal from negative to positive, you would need a transistor and 2 resistors. but I would suggest using Arduino with relay which gives you very wide options to work with.
