- Lisa Gade review the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung’s 2021 flagship big screen phone with the best cameras Samsung has to offer. A decided improvement over the S20 Ultra in most respects, the S21 Ultra has a 6.8” 120Hz AMOLED display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor (Exynos 2100 outside the US in some countries), 5G and four cameras with improved laser autofocus. The main 108MP camera boasts a new sensor, and there are ultrawide, 3x tele and 10x tele lens plus Space Zoom to 100x. There’s a 1.7x larger Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display, a 5,000 mAh battery and more.

A great, no BS review as usual.
I DEFINITELY use the telephoto lenses a LOT (my day job is photographer, but THIS is the camera I always have on me the rest of the time). Finally we're at the point where I don't find myself thinking, "What a great shot. I wish I had my real camera with me to do it justice," and that's liberating!
I went from a Pixel 3xl to a S10+ and could not stand the skin smoothing and all that with the Samsung camera of the past. Sooo glad it’s gone as I pre ordered the 21 ultra lol
@@normandy2501 Your s9 won't be getting updates anymore and it's actually a huge upgrade going to the s21 ultra. If you can afford it then go for it.

It seems like the evolved version of that phone indeed - even the aesthetics are in the same line. It is a lot bigger and heavier though, which is a bit of a bummer. I went to check it out in a store and it doesn't feel so well balanced in the hand...

Had my S21 Ultra a month now, coming from a Note 10+. Miss lots about the Note, particularly the SD card ( my Wife has it now) but those S21 Ultra Cameras, awesome!

that "Ultra" is a midget as well compared to my Mate 20x which I consider small too due to the current stupid kitkat aspect ratios...how I miss 16:10

Nice review as always. Only wish you had mentioned something, anything, about the sound quality. Well balanced or not between the earpiece and bottom-firing speaker? Deep, rich, or simply loud and tinty? Something, anything...

so many people reviewing this phone are bashing the camera, doing the side by side iPhone 12 pro. Does switching from vivid to natural really eliminate the saturated colors. What Mike Mo said....!

Thank you for mentioning how terrible Bixby is. Hopefully Samsung would listen and allow for double click (or long pressing) for Google Assistant. Their Bixby Voice or nothing approach is stubborn and off putting.

Your reviews are great!! I currently am using an iPhone 8 Plus, and considering upgrading to the Note 20 Ultra, or the S21 Ultra, and possibly the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which is my third choice. Feedback appreciated. I am not attached to either ecosystem.
I have noticed on my Note 20 Ultra, the picture taking is horrible. Every time the pics are not clear and crisp, but rather dull.

I love your videos however I think one thing is missing. Usage outdoors in hot weather. Being that you live in in Houston (I lived there for 5 years now I live in DFW), Heat outside is a part of everyday living. And with this phone I am so disappointed in it's outdoor performance. I play Pokemon go and much of the game is meant to be played outside. With nowhere near the demand the mobile games you play in the review, this phone heats up so fast (

I Don't need the extra memory based off my s10 usage. After a year only 66GB used. 128 more than enough.
Stores like Walmart stopped supporting MST anyway.
Happy with my S20, have no reason to upgrade. Major disappointment that they removed the expandable storage option. Don't give me the "there's not enough space" excuse. It's purely a greed move.
Same thing with the headphone jack.

As the Sony Xperia 5 ii manages to have both, and it is still abnormally slim.
Yeah, I'm over the headphone jack though, you can get around that with a dongle, and I don't even have wired headphones anymore for my phone. If the Note's become the only samsung phones with expandable storage, I guess I will be buying a note next time I get a phone which will be in a couple years.
Maybe they'll bring it back next time round, like they did after the S6. At least they don't seem to be price gouging on the storage upgrade. Still a bummer IMHO.

I check on Samsung shop they do not have doors they show pictures still do not have it half black And silver
I'm disappointed it has a rounded screen, one of the things I dislike about my Note20 Ultra. Makes it hard to find a case that protects the sides of the screen.
Great review, hate the fact they removed microSD card support. Will wait for the Note 21, likely the final note!

"Samsung got it right." No SD card slot anymore and therefore you can buy expensive storage upgrades.
No headphone jack, no charger, fingerprint and display with serial number check, so no third party repair can change it. Samsung is not any better than Apple. Actually they are worse, because the firmware support is only two years at best.

Omg you actually mentioned to change the display from vivid to natural for the over processed looking photos. Every reviewer complained about the over saturated photos. My first thought was that maybe they had the vivid display option enabled

Apple may have patented the method of folding the screen under itself to achieve that.
I don't think the lack of expandable storage is that bad when you think about cloud storage for all your photos and videos. I think it'll be alright
The only reason I've stuffed with the Galaxy series is because of the SD card slot, may have to upgrade to the note...... If the note doesn't have an SD card slot guess I'll drop Samsung all together.....☹️

Sammy's notorious ad laced bloatware and Bixby are the reasons that I can NEVER use a Sammy phone. They can easily double the sale just by making a Stock Android.
