- Sohra. Kshaid Khmat Kharai (Double Drive) Falls, Wahrew Arch Bridge - Sohbar. Exploring Meghalaya.
India’s longest Road Arch Bridge ( Wahrew Arch Bridge - Sohbar ).
The 169mtr long bridge connects Bhola Ganj & Sohbar to Nongjri in East Khasi Hills and runs over the river Wahrew. The Bridge was dedicated to Dr Donkupar Roy, Former Chief Minister of Meghalaya.
During winter seasons one can do camping out there as well as boating.
There are also some water sports are available.
The Wahrew river is very clean just like Dawki river and one can experience transparent water boating over here as well. Those who are swimming out there they can experience aqua life as you can witness some fish while swimming just you need to be calm enough to experience.
It's only 70kms from Shillong and one can easily hire local cabs from Shillong, Police Bazar to reach there.
Kshaid Khmat Kharai (Double Drive) Falls, Sohra.
This waterfalls leads on the way just after the View point of Seven Sisters Falls and the exact distance is 57kms from Shillong and one can ask the cab driver to stop by to this falls. The main attraction to the falls is river beach.
And also got information's from the ticket collectors that one can come there for camping and other activities, but the only thing is those who wants to do camping they have to carry there own tents and other requirements for the camping as they will not provide you anything as they will be there just to guard you whole night and help you to arrange bonfire and etc.
