I loved your reaction to the song America by Ray Charles. I used to sing it with my mother. May God bless you and your beautiful family. He is still in charge regardless of what people say and the evil we see around us. He will not forsake us. It is still a beautiful world.
To think that Ray went through all the racism and bullshit, band from performing in some places, and yet here he is singing about the wonderfulness about this county. He was able to see it, even though he was blind.
❤❤❤❤❤❤ brings me to tears. Love our country so so much... and it is being torn asunder, by greedy, hateful, self-centered... elitists who only care about money and power. Ray really does this song justice... he is awesome. Thank you... may you and your beautiful family have a very happy 4th❤
I don’t think ray ever sang a bad note. He is just amazing. My granddaddy played bass fiddle with him on a concert that came to our town. His player was sick and granddad got a call to play that night. Afterward he invited band to his home to jam. There are pics of me a little over a year old dancing next to ray while they played. 😂 he loved music and gave me my love of music of all kinds. But ray has always had a special place in my heart cuz my granddaddy just loved him and played his music so often around the house. It was the highlight of his career to play with him. Just that one show by accident
I sat here with chills and just broke down in tears hearing this. It's the most beautiful version I've ever heard. I love this country so much, but the things that are going on now break my heart. I thank God for being born in America. God bless you, and as always God bless America 🇺🇸 🤎
Tomorrow is going to be one very special day. Celebrate it in the right way. Be thankful for all of the opportunities offered here, if you'll explore them. At this moment in this time, we are blessed beyond comprehension.
AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL. You said that very well. I'm glad that you're here also. With all its flaws and blemishes, people are still drawn here for all different reasons.
I used to sing this song for my school and in plays in the voice of Ray Charles as I can imitate him just as good if not better than Jamie Foxx. To hear and see people find love in a Ray Charles is forever a joy to me. Rest in power Brother Ray. You will forever live on!
This song moves me to tears every time. Your reaction was perfect. You felt it like a true American! This song, "God Bless America" , The National Anthem & any other songs that praises America should be playing all over the USA! My opinion. --- Bill
Many years ago Ray Charles was in our town for a concert and contacted the choir my daughter was in to sing this song with him in concert. It was a thrilling time. He came to their rehearsal hall to practice with him.
I remember the first time I heard Ray Charles sing America the Beautiful it gave me chills. You felt it. All I could think of was God bless this man and God bless America!
I was three when this came out, but I remember it getting popular again sometime in the 80's. I just remember hearing it on the radio a lot at that time. Ray Charles is a national treasure!
For those not familiar with all 4 verses (Charles starts out with verse 3): O beautiful for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties Above the fruited plain! America! America! God shed his grace on thee And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea! O beautiful for pilgrim feet Whose stern, impassioned stress A thoroughfare for freedom beat Across the wilderness! America! America! God mend thine every flaw, Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law! O beautiful for heroes proved In liberating strife, Who more than self their country loved And mercy more than life! America! America! May God thy gold refine Till all success be nobleness And every gain divine! O beautiful for patriot dream That sees beyond the years Thine alabaster cities gleam Undimmed by human tears! America! America! God shed his grace on thee And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea!
I'm so glad you reacted to this. Ray brings tears to my eyes every time I hear his amazing voice sing this song!! Happy 4th of July to you and your beautiful family Sebs!
As an avid watcher of Sandlot back in my child days I can say I enjoyed that scene and would watch it over and over because the song went so well with the fireworks
Thank u 4 this. Always been my fav redintion. Just watched Rhe Star Spangled Banner like you neveer heard b4. Was crying then n this too. GOD BLESS AMERICA!! HAPPY 4TH TO ALL N EVERYONE!! SPREAD THE LOVE N PRIDE IN OUR GREAT< GREAT COUNTRY!!
A little late but... Another great song for the 4th, and the times we're in, generally... Paul Simon's American Tune with Rhiannon Giddens at the Newport Folk Festival. ⚖️🗽✊ Stay strong everyone!
The Genius of Ray Charles , the collection, two complication albums, should be required curriculum, in every arts and music class, let alone every private music Library..,.... Worldwide. ❤
As a new country fan, you must react to Ray Charles and Willie Nelson singing 7 Spanish Angels!! It’s a classic and one of my favorite collaborations of all time! I know you will love it 😍
If you go to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado you will see what inspired this poem written by Katherine Lee Bates in 1893. Music was added by Silias Pratt and revised in 1904. The summit allows a breathtaking view of the Rocky Mts. and you can feel how thin the air is. The visitor center sells donuts that are huge because they blow way up because the altitude! Great place to experience and you are not far from there - go ride the cog railway! Thanks!
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!🎇 I was hoping for a special Dan Vasc Star Spangled Banner reaction. I didn’t see that you have reacted to a must listen on the patriotic day!
Passed up a chance to see him once. Big regret. He passed shortly thereafter. Ever since, I have a bucket list to see. Have accomplished a few. Seeing three more Sunday night. Don't put it off.
I've got a few suggestions and they are: America sung by Waylon Jennings, Living in the Promise Land by Willie Nelson, They're Coming to America by Neil Diamond, and American Trilogy by Elvis.
The sad, ironic part of it all, is that the most beautiful, spine-tingling versions of "America The Beautiful" & "The Star Spangled Banner" were sung by Ray Charles & Whitney Houston, both African Americans like myself, who still have not been able to fully realize the American dream. Maybe, before I pass on...
I loved your reaction to the song America by Ray Charles. I used to sing it with my mother. May God bless you and your beautiful family. He is still in charge regardless of what people say and the evil we see around us. He will not forsake us. It is still a beautiful world.
Brother. This made my day. So much love to you. God bless this country.
AMEN! GOD IS GOOD!
If this song doesn't move you check you're pulse .You can never go wrong with Ray
We were simply blessed to share the earth with this man. I don't have words for how he moves me.
When Ray takes the entire world to church. Beautiful.
He owns this song. Gives me chills and I'm Canadian.
❤❤❤
To think that Ray went through all the racism and bullshit, band from performing in some places, and yet here he is singing about the wonderfulness about this county. He was able to see it, even though he was blind.
Ray Charles was one of America's greatest singers.
This should have been our national anthem. It's beautiful.
You brought me to tears because I feel the same way: This IS the REAL American National Anthem.
No one sings this like Ray Charles could.
❤❤❤❤❤❤ brings me to tears. Love our country so so much... and it is being torn asunder, by greedy, hateful, self-centered... elitists who only care about money and power. Ray really does this song justice... he is awesome.

What an amazing story and I'm sure treasured memory for you!!
The scene from "The Sandlot" with this song is one of my all-time favorite movie moments.
I sat here with chills and just broke down in tears hearing this. It's the most beautiful version I've ever heard. I love this country so much, but the things that are going on now break my heart. I thank God for being born in America. God bless you, and as always God bless America 🇺🇸 🤎

AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL. You said that very well. I'm glad that you're here also. With all its flaws and blemishes, people are still drawn here for all different reasons.
Sorry but people are drawn to a lot of countries arround the world. When China took over HK, Canada was more popular to goto then the US.

Such a beautiful song!
Many years ago Ray Charles was in our town for a concert and contacted the choir my daughter was in to sing this song with him in concert. It was a thrilling time. He came to their rehearsal hall to practice with him.
I love Ray Charles, but this one throws me into a new realm. He did such a special job with this and it causes such love and hugs.
There will never be another like Ray. An icon in every sense of the word.
Beautiful voice I was so lucky to see him so many times on TV. Him and Louie Armstrong God I miss real men and real voices.
This song always makes me proud and gives me hope that we can make America even better-for everybody.
Like rain from heaven 😢 greatest rendition ever.
Thank you. Ray is one of my top 5 favorite male vocalists. ❤
I remember the first time I heard Ray Charles sing America the Beautiful it gave me chills. You felt it. All I could think of was God bless this man and God bless America!
Happy 4th. If this song doesn't stir up the emotions of patriotism and pride then nothing will . No one sings it with more feeling than Ray.
I honestly teared up.
Before Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Elvis and Bill Haley and the rockets, Ray was already a well established hit maker of rock and roll for years.
I was three when this came out, but I remember it getting popular again sometime in the 80's. I just remember hearing it on the radio a lot at that time. Ray Charles is a national treasure!

Ray had the voice ❤ Got to see him in a smallish club, he and The Rayettes were wonderful and so terribly charming
Gives me goose bumps every time I hear Ray sing this song. Many people have lobbied over the years to have this song become our National Anthem.
Beautiful, so beautiful and emotional!!😢😢❤❤

One of my all ti e favorites🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I love the way Ray Charles sings America the Beautiful.
No one did it better! Should be our National Anthem! RIP Ray
Only trouble with that there's no one alive today who can sing it like this.
God bless America.
God Bless America!
I'm crying like a baby!! Thank you for this .. Today!!
Ray Charles singing America The Beautiful is the one song that should receive the Ultimate Respect! No talking over!
This has been my favorite version of America the Beautiful for years.

Ray Stevens couldn't hold a candle to Brother Ray.....Not in the same league at all
call me crazy but every time I hear Ray, I start rocking like he used to...RIP
Stunning every time i hear it.
The video of Ray Charles playing this and singing is awesome!
He used to record with his band, a full orchestra, and a full choir in the studio together.
Ray Charles was a VERY special human. Peace, Love!!
God Bless America 🇺🇸 ❤ Happy July 4th 🎉
Welcome aboard as a citizen. I appreciate your reaction to this song, especially today. Nicely done.
Awesome reaction Sebs thanks for what you do
Beautiful song. Gives me chills every single time.

A true icon. ❤
That is what this is all about!!
Love your emotions brother. Keepin it real.

A musical genius that makes you cry.
So glad you reacted to this. I had forgotten about this one. It's so beautiful, and a great way to start out Independence Day celebrations.
As a new country fan, you must react to Ray Charles and Willie Nelson singing 7 Spanish Angels!! It’s a classic and one of my favorite collaborations of all time! I know you will love it 😍
It always amazed me how he could start throwing in adlibs and every one of them sound great.
Chills.. absolutely Beautiful 🎆

Seb, you need to watch the one he did after 9/11 at the World Series, it'll put tears in your eyes!
Yes amost I was just getting ready to share this, love from Virginia
This country has fallen so far in such a short time. We need to improve our country to the point it was when the Ray man sang this song.
Loved hearing this song tonight! Happy 4th to you and your family 🇺🇸
Thanks!
The one you needed to show was him singing this song at the World Series right after 9/11 it was better than any other version he ever put out
I’m Proud to be an American.
Tears😢
I forgot how much I love Ray Charles.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Have a safe and happy Independence Day everyone!!
Keep putting out the great videos Sebs!
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!🎇 I was hoping for a special Dan Vasc Star Spangled Banner reaction. I didn’t see that you have reacted to a must listen on the patriotic day!

Check out this song from 1980 Louisiana Superdome from Sugar Ray Leonard vs Roberto Duran2… 🥊
Just reminds me of Sandlot :)
Also City of New Orleans sung by the Highwaymen.
Ray Charles America the Beautiful and Louis Armstrong's It's a Wonderful World are American icons. As much as mom's apple pie.
OMG …A message from the people LP 1972. Doesn’t get better than this , an I’m British, Rule Britannia.
For Benjamin baseball was life 🇺🇸
