The RLCraft Modpack for Minecraft by Shivaxi looked interesting, so I wanted to give it a shot. This is RLCraft Ep 1 (Ep 1 may also be the only episode, we'll see if there's interest in more) Nonetheless, RLCraft is hardcore, unforgiving and brutal, but it's a lot of fun. If there's enough support for it, I'll make episode 2.
What is RLCraft:
RLCraft is a hardcore realism modpack for Minecraft (Minus all the mythical creatures...) RLCraft makes Minecraft incredibly difficult and you'll see that here, in episode 1.

When summoning;
Aggressive: attacks everything around them
Defensive: attacks anything that attacks you
Assist: attacks anything that you hit
Passive: doesn’t attack at all
Also, once something is already summoned it appears that you cannot change their behavior ex: Summon something in defensive mode you can’t change it to assist until you summon again

Aggresssive seems to not attack everything around you, but everything FRIENDLY around you.
The other problem is that spiders climb, and a bunch of the minions can't.
I understand everything is new to him but it’s so frustrating when all he has to do is read the labels
Also, wander is much more effective than follow in my experience. It allows them to seek out and explore dungeons and hallways without you leading the charge

@@madjaster9620 There are many options. One of those is ''assist''. That's the perfect one.
The fact that he doesn't know how to use (or didn't know- this video is old) it doesn't mean that the staff is a bad tool. Contrary, is the best one in RlCraft, and having that is a win for many players trying the modpack. I have seen lots of youtubers giving it a great use and being sucessful.

Some things that you need to know :
1. Make 2 power ring of resistance and equip them
2. Make a tool belt and upgrade it with some belt pouches and equip it
3. You should make a soulstone and bind your pet
4. In that library check for a button in the reception like area, it reveals a chest and also check other chests.
5. You can tame a hippogriff by feeding it rabbit foot.
6. For normal pets, use a pet armour but for a hippogriff you need to upgrade it with 2 feathers and make it a hippogriff armour
7. Search for potion of rememberence or something like that, its a lot useful
8. You might want to make a disenchanting table.
9. Check under the crafting table in Wizard tower like structure there might be something interesting there.
10. Destroy the spawners by going from behind
11. Use summoning staff to summon aegis
12. Make some book which holds experience
13. Make some grave scrolls
14. Get a lot and I mean a lot of heart crystals and make heart canisters and use them
15. Don't know if you did this but press L and select a specialisation
16. Make a crafting bench and make crates
17. Make some reforging station there are 2 one for baubles and other for tools
18. Make a lesser equipment forge
19. Make a polarized stone and activate it and keep it in your hand or inventory slot it would be extremely helpful.
Also a wheat farm is a great source of XP

So im the only one that gets really aggravated that he destroys the ceilings/floors of the dungeons, doesnt fix them, and keeps falling through them? other than that, love the content.
Tbh, half of his deaths are due to his own incompetence. Mostly this mod is just hard asf and he’s still learning. But a lot of the time the time he’s jus being goofy and doesn’t seem to think things out before he does something. Which is fine to do in reg Minecraft, but inna hardcore game like this, you need total concentration and thorough planning just to survive

The atlas only shows stuff you've explored after you've created it. So it will give you a reference point to make it back home, but you still have to go out and physically find your pup

The way the spider just committed suicide after forge spent so long trying to kill it plays out like some British comedy show.
An advice: Summon the aegis (the dudes that are protecting the villages), they work very well with most of the mobs out there.

Try to get those blue armored flying knights in the village as your summons.
The one with the spinning shields and swords. And put them on aggressive. They are REALLY good as far as summons go.
I tried aggro in a dungeon i was in and they were kind of useless :_:

@@october7510 Dungeons are fairly bad for most summons. They get stuck easily.
Other youtubers playing this game seem to always use those guys. Do u need to kill one to be able to summon it?

@@benberckelman1672 basically you just need knowledge on them like the ones that pop up on the chat that say "you've gotten knowledge rank 1 on *creatures name*" i think at least, you need a rank 1 knowledge or rank 2 two able to summon them

A tipo for you: one day, leave ALL your items in your chest and Just Wander off, eventually you'll find some waystone or cool place, and ta-da, you got a New point from which you can explore, and gets closer to finding gonzo

*This is how stances work:*
On defensive, they only attack mobs that attack you
On assist, they only attack mobs that you attack or that attack you
On aggressive, they attack *all* mobs.
You should set it on assist.
Clicking on a direction with your staff does absolutely nothing
Idk man whenever I try to use aggresive it ONLY attacks the friendly mobs and NEVER attacks the unfriendly ones. But I never et it to aggressive anyway

This is honestly so stressful, haha. Watching other channels play this mod, knowing how the summoning system works, I can’t bear to watch you set it to aggressive haha. It’s assist mate, hit the spider once, and it will do the rest. Also, the reaper isn’t very good compared to some of the others. Love this series, though - really happy to see an upload after a few days away! Keep it up dude!
Get Gonzo:
- He could be up to 10000 blocks away he also could be close. I think the best bet to find him, is to get the fastest flying mount in the game, tame it soulbind it, put a saddle on it and then take to the skyes, until you find Gonzo. On the way, activate every waystone you see. Make sure, you have an activated waystone close to your base.
- A good flying mount for that, would be the Morock. It looks like a small sized, grey dragon. They occasionally spawn in plains biomes. You can tame it with the dragon treat. It is not one of the huge ice and fire dragons, but a normal Lycanite mob, which have a small dragon subspecies. Make enough dragon treats, run up to him and spam use them on him, until there is a chat message saying hes is friendly. Then use a soulstone on him to bind him to you. You then can dismiss and summon him at any time. If he dies, you can resummon him after a short cooldown.
- Don't forget to bring around 10 dragon treats, 1 soulstone, 1 saddle. Bring him home, equip him with (diamond) pet armor and a chest.
- On your journey to save, Gonzo, Bring meat to heal your mount, a compass, your atlas (make a copy) and enough supplies for you.
General Stuff:
- Use your shield, especially for skeletons. Keep it up, until you approached the skeleton. Let the skeleton shoot. Then attack once and raise your shield immediately again. Train this. When you have a fast enough weapon, you can experiment with attacking several times before raising your shield again. But I think you should first train the basics.
- 3:04 Heal your head!

2nd: try and tame a bird! Then maybe you can fly around and find your dog, tho honestly, u got quite the mission on your hands.
3: id say before venturing to rescue gonzo, you should establish a base and get better armor, level up more and get a better handle of the game, your dog will be ok if he was sitting down. He will wait for you.
Flying and looking for the nearby town will probably be the only way you'll find Gonzo, if eveer and it could be 5 minutes away or it could be 2 hours away ( i think) in travel time. If rlcraft spawning is truelly random, then you may be looking for a needle in a hay stack.
Love your series. Make them more often! 1 a day and u'll dominate!

If Gonzo means anything to you:
Get yourself minutor, a mapping program for minecraft where you can get the coordinates of where you first spawned if you look a bit around.
I think he should just search the entire map manually

This series is nice and calming or at least some times it is but I can tell he is trying
Atlases are like maps where each new one is different, so to get the same one you had previously you might need to remain a new atlas to the one you had first (not sure if this is how it works, but I remember seeing something like this)
Some things I recommend: Canteen, XP book (allows you to store xp so you don't lose it), Killing 10 monsters at a spawner should automatically destroy it, and set your summons to follow you (which is in the menu). Good luck finding Gonzo!

The best thing to use with the summoning staff is the “law enforcement” the guys that float around villages
