Hello Kelly. Just found you. Great lesson to a great song. I have loved this one for so long and you make it look so easy. Cheers and thanks for the lesson. 😎🤘🎸
Now we're talking.. Ronnie Montrose, one of the all time greats, even Eddie Van Halen was inspired by him.. had my ears blown off standing in front of the pa stack at Winterland in SF back in 1975, I was a fifteen year old guitar player in training, watching by biggest influence next to Page, up close and personal.. I don't think my left ear ever recovered.. loved this BAND!! Thanks for doing it honor bro! Keep on rocking Kelly 🎶😎🎶
@MaxTor2112 you obviously have no clue of what was happening in the early 70's. Like I said, Eddie Van Halen himself made that statement.. but whatever you say, we all have a right to an opinion..
Thanks, Kelly! I am a drummer who took up electric guitar late in life, leveraging RUclips for all it's worth, and you are my favorite tutor! Love this tune and had been working on it for a few months prior to seeing this lesson come out. Great help with the bridge. I know what I'll be doing today🎸👍✌
@racerex3159 thanks mate! I like to think that I don't overdo things. Spend ten minutes explaining a simple thing, etc... keep things moving as if most know what I'm taking about and can play at a decent level already. I don't really aim my tutorials at beginners I suppose.
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar 60 years old enjoying my guitar journey. I love your approach in explaining what some instructors might confuse a bedroom player such as me. Thanks again.
Another awesome lesson from yet another of my favorite bands in my younger years. The band I was in right out of high school covered this one. One of the few Montrose tunes I could learn at the time. Ronnie was a master, that first album was fantastic start to finish. Still holds up to this day. Sad how things ended for him. Thanks again, Kelly
A friend from high school that played guitar turned me on to that album back in the mid 70s, I still have the album. Then I saw Montrose with Lynyrd Skynyrd a short time later at an outdoor concert, it was an amazing day with all the amazing guitar playing going on, and a young Sammy Hagar giving it hell on vocals.
Nice lesson Kelly Dean. An absolutely perfect 1st track on a classic album. Was privileged to see Montrose supporting Status Quo waaay back in the early 70’s. At that gig they were giving away a free floppy promo for that first album. Still have the promo…. and the album. Space Station 5# or Bad Motor Scooter would be great lessons at some point. Thank you KD. Perfect lesson.
Awesome! You put out the best instructional videos don’t change a thing. And thanks for not getting into the weeds with music theory blah blah blah. Just tell me where my fingers go and I’m all set 🙂
Im 64 and nominate you the teacher who keeps us ol rockers out of the rut!
Classic song classic lesson.
Thanks man! That's my demographic, haha. Almost all men between the ages of 50 and 70. I'll take it.
Every song on Montrose's self titled album is great. Any and all song lessons are sincerely appreciated! Thank you!
Love reliving my youth. One of my favorite songs to play. Another job well done KDA!
Good job with this rockin' song. Loved Montrose back in the day.
That is such a great song and album. Love Ronnie Montrose, may he rest in peace. That song has that little nuance that you get with the vibrato
I loved Montrose. Nice to see you breakdown this classic.
We are so fortunate to have great teachers and music to learn. Thank you Kelly. You have really help me play better.

I loved this album. Make it last and bad motor scooter are 2 of my favs. Some of Ronnies work with Gamma too was awesome. Thanks for the tutorial!

Not sure why I find your lessons so easy to follow but you have a way of explaining guitar that resonates with me. Well done sir.

Sammy Hagar tells a story after a gig Montrose just basically walks up to everybody and says well this band is over
Greatest rock debut album?
Trump!
