Hi sir, good day, I think it is unsafe to lower the safety contour if that was the result of your calculations with respect to the present draft, squat and other parameters. It would be much better to keep the contour at 6 meters and after that, draw with the users map the no go areas even if it is inside the safety contour in the ECDIS. That is just my opinion.

Hello, i have a question. For example i have boarding position with exact coordinates, how do I set my cursor in exactly that position, without scrolling and painfully adjusting cursor by using trackball?
Hi Thank you for your question. we really appreciate it. I will also show this in a future video. but for now do as follows, since Furuno do not have a function where you can enter a position and then the cursor will move there. click WGS84 button, then write the position under source and press Go To, then the cursor will move to that position. Hi Thank you so much for writing to us and sorry for the late reply. To answer your question. You can use the User chart Area or line to make No Go areas in the FEA ECDIS. To open a new user chart, Click on User chart in the information area, then click plan, then click create, then click the area or line tab and check enable changes, then you can start editing your No Go area. Sir my question is how about for inspector like PSC or vetting Inspection. If they question why you didn't set up your 6 meters safety contour and you make it 5 meters. What kind of answer do we need to reply on that?
