There are TONS of cool medical references in this mod, and I’m gonna name a few! The cyabin is based off of cyanotoxins, which is a poison that infects red blood cells and can cause clots. The donor enemy’s organs are the three most harvested in an organ donor situation. Those being the heart, lungs, and liver. The phage enemy is a play on words on bacteriophage, which is the shape of most viruses. These ones look more like streptococcus tho. Jibble just seems like a amniotic sac with a miscarriage inside The patho enemy is a cool representation of how flagella work in certain bacteria’s The skinburster seems to be a representation of ringworm, which hides between the epidermis and muscles The topsy enemy uses its aorta to attack, which is the longest blood vessel in the body. The name is a play on words of autopsy Strain baby is a clear reference to whooping cough, which mostly affects infants Terror cell seems to be a white blood cell, creating antibodies to attack AIDS is kinda self-explanatory, but it shows how Aida can be transmitted via tainted blood rather than you know what The embolism enemy is a representation of severe hydrocephalus, which again is most common in infants Pinky’s name is a reference to lab pinkies, which are rats used for experiments. She also wears and iron halo, which is used to keep the skin and skull away during brain surgery. The concept of this alt floor is intersting: While "Corpse" is based in... well...a corpse (duh), "Mortis" take the concept of a body in process of disection in a mortuary (which explains the knifes cutting the floor and the cold ambience)

What I find funny is how many of Cadavra's team attacks are kinda sports themed, like nibs figure skating behind a charging chubs, nibs hammer throwing chubs, and of course nibs kicking chubs around like a soccer ball
5 minutes in and I already love this mod. The Mortis floor with its own soundtrack sends chills down my spine. Its insane how you can hear the heart monitor beeping in the music as if you're slipping in and out of reality. Its great how it represents a cold body right after death. The knifes cutting in symbolize disection. Amazing stuff, shame that didn't make it into the game.

Donor was beautifully crafted to be terrific af Even when i was editing the video i was about to mention that it was the most disturbing for me (Mostly because of the sound effect of a machine moving it, that made me uncomfortable for some reason)

There is a mod that makes that returned boss (Cadavra) in corpse and a mod that adds not only custom, but also unused enemies, which is better than the returning enemies here. Still, this mod is epic, so i like this! Also coil works like that one fiend folio enemy
i SWEAR ive seen the skinburster enemy as a concept YEARS ago on some like, fanmade enemy spritesheet. it was different colors though, as it wasnt themed after a corpse
Since they are devs i hope they implement this mod officially Like as update Also i really hope they expand the alt path! Like a floor after The Corpse/Mortis
2:04 should have had different sprites based on the amount of pieces are left like the king boo fight at the end of the ScareScraper of Luigi's mansion 3 (also can you turn off the resprites somehow)
On one hand i love the effort that went into the enemies and the new floor, it really feels like something high quality straight out of the main game. But man most of the redesigns really throw me off... Not a fan. Still though this mod's absolutely amazing, good job to the team :)
What weird i, perhaps i should go read the mod but i make it to mortis, but when i go to the next stage its just corpse again and not mortis 2? Is there something im missing?
@@Rain1 I guess is because of how alt floors work, similar to when you are in Burning Basement I and then the next floor is Cellar II, basically its not guaranteed that you will go only to Mortis floors
The dev team contains some repentance devs. They also claim that the concepts present in this mod are unused concepts that didn't make it in repentance.
I hate those resprites, they don't fit the overall game and not even the floor they added. Maybe releasing a content mod side by side with a resprite mod would be better? I just can't afford to bump into a Dingle looking like that, I wouldn't survive this.
