You just opened up the rabbit hole of all rabbit holes! I’m 62 years old and I opened this rabbit hole in October 2023 and still didn’t find my way out. I’m finally going to see them in September in Camden New Jersey for the first time.

I am very happy that you enjoyed The Warning's music. These 3 sisters are what rock music has been missing for many years. They just released their 4th album, finished their 2nd European tour that included Wacken Open Air and Pol and Rock music festivals. They have toured North and South America with groups like Halestorm, Guns N Roses, The Pretty Reckless, and Muse. They just returned from 3 shows in Japan including one with Band-Maid with whom they recorded a colab called "Show Them". They will be touring the US and Canada in Sept. and Oct. and have booked 2 sold out shows in Mexico City next Feb. in a 10K seat venue. They have been a band for over 10 years and have a very large and active fan base called The Warning Army. In 2017 the drummer Pau told the audience "You Have Been Warned" a play on the bands name. It is now the tag line of The Warning Army for new reactors.

The phrase "You have been warned" comes from a statement made by the drummer at a TEDx talk, University of Nevada back in 2017. It became a slogan for the fanbase. BTW, one of the few speakers be invited to do two TEDx appearances only a year apart. The first was in 2016. Both are available on RUclips with three songs each. If you are curious, listen to what they say between songs as well. Very intelligent and articulate even when they were really young and in their second language; Spanish being their first.
"You have been WARNED!" first appeared on the screen at the end of the band's debut live performance video of them covering Muse's "Hysteria", December 2013.

Of course, with her "Hands up!" and "Open the Pit!" commands she has only become more so. Everything about this song is perfect: the music, Dany's vocals, the lyrics (check them out), the stage presence, and even the music video itself (simple but cool and done with good taste).
And live they are even better!

As other reactors have commented, The Warning Army (TWA) is a fierce, devoted fan base - which matches the fierce onstage personas of Dany, Pau, and Ale. Very protective, too, as you’ve noticed - a lot of them are older classic rock fans who’ve embraced DPA as a new generation of rock music, and adopted them as online aunts and uncles. Off stage, DPA are just three of the sweetest young ladies you’ll ever meet, but on stage as The Warning…in the words of Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, whom they opened for on tour a couple years ago, she’s never seen a band that attacks the audience the way they do.
They’re young, but already musical veterans: they’ve been playing together as a band for over 11 years, and it’s just over ten years since they recorded the “Enter Sandman” cover that went viral, and convinced them to make this not just a hobby or family activity, but a career. They just released their fourth album, their second under the Lava Records label. Last year, they were the only band performing at the MTV VMAs that wasn’t nominated (two songs: “More” and “Evolve”) and a common joke among TWA is that they’re still looking for the roof. This year, TWA is busy flooding the MTV online voting for Best Push Performance, for their song “Automatic Sun.”
One of the reasons they have such a large devoted following is that they release tons of vlogs, aftermovies, and other BTS videos so people can see what they’re really like. Dany, the panther-like onstage front woman and guitarist, gets nerves so badly her stomach hurts, and got mocked by her sisters when they were younger for practicing her “James Hetfield” face in the mirror. Pau, the grinning maniac on the drums, is still a five foot firecracker IRL, but she’s also a bug-ophobe who’s sensitive about her height and she’s said that her greatest fear is that she’ll give a crowd an order and they’ll ignore her. (As of a few weeks ago, she’s stood up at her drum kit and ordered crowds of 50000+ at the Wacken and Pol’and Rock festivals to “Open the pit!” And they damn well did!) As for Ale, the tall silent Thunder Goddess, she’s a little less silent BTS, but the two stories that I’ve heard about why she doesn’t sing as much as the other two are 1) she’s worried about her memory for lyrics, and 2) because she’s got perfect pitch, she’s acutely aware of when she doesn’t hit a note perfectly. (I’ve heard Dany miss a note or two, either instrumentally or vocally, but she just powers through it.)

Then also as sisters or close relatives without ruling out platonic love, but always with respect and love for them due to their enormous quality as human beings, in addition to their tremendous charisma.
As musicians they are very special because as you get to know The Warning more you discover that they have several styles of rock but they are invariably pure rock!!
And I continue to reaffirm my humble but very own opinion that with its structure, its cuts, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, its endings…
All of this is masterful.
The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all of this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection and predominating sophistication.
There could always be other options, but the ones they chose seem to be the exact ones to create a masterpiece of art.
Also impregnating everything with a natural touch of inevitable sensuality that only adds improvement and with the feeling, sensitivity and passion of their blood, race and culture.
Each of its pieces can be very different, but always with all the TW flavor.
It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits.
They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain period of time.
This is the youngest veteran band in the rock world.
Without forgetting that there are only three of them, yes, but three true geniuses in their field.

I had the pleasure of attending half of season and playoffs each year from the moment Kobe Bryant stepped into a Laker's uniform till 2003 that I moved back to Mexico so you and I have some things in common and the more you learn about The Warning DPA Goddesses there will be no turning back 😁. Its always great to see new listeners getting "warned". However, expletives & swearing in public is not my style. While I wish you an immersive & enjoyable dive into The Warning rabbit hole, I will leave you with my thoughts about Choke below.
When was the last time a rock band wrote a metaphor like "Wear your tears like jewelry"? Or "It's cold but this where I'll stay; Comfortably in pain"?
Most bands would have asked for help while drowning in this bottomless abyss of despair painted in the song.
But not The Warning - as Dany pleads
"Just let me drown

I wish other bands had that level of profundity in lyrics in the past 3 decades. But then we are living in an age of show over substance. Listeners nowadays are only focused on the instrumentation of a song unlike the classic rock era of 60s-70s. Thankfully The Warning are bringing that balance between substance & show in a song. Its imperative to analyze their poetry to complete The Warning experience.

So I guess you like the band, I have enjoyed watching them grow up from kid sisters who formed a band into the great Rock band they are now doing worldwide headlining tours. It’s been a great pleasure watching them grow up and grow into a great band. Every step of the way has been hard work for them and they have relentlessly honed their musical skills and songwriting abilities, without doing that and as a consequence having had very little social life that’s the price of success!

The Future Of ROCK from Monterrey Mexico, The Villarreal Vélez sisters:
Daniela "Dany" (guitar, lead and backing vocals, piano) The Lightning riff maker.
Paulina "Pau" (drums, lead and backing vocals, piano, and also songwriter for the band) Drum Bombardment from the heavens.
Pau won the Drumeo 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year award. The hosts said that she "dominated" the voting of "a hard category to win".
Alejandra "Ale" (bass guitar, piano, backing vocals) Thunder Goddess.
She plays a signature Spector 5 string that she helped design, it's called Ale's Inferno. She also has a blue signature Spector 5-string...fire and ice. Ale's been playing Spector since age 13, and signed with Spector at 15.
The Villarreal Vélez sisters were raised in Monterrey, and all received training on various instruments at an early age. At some point in their childhood, Daniela and Paulina had selected guitar and drums as their primary instruments, respectively. When the youngest of the three, Alejandra, selected bass guitar as her primary instrument at about age 7, the sisters decided to form a rock power trio in 2013. Three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico.
Daniela (Dany): Lead Vocals, Guitar - 24 years old as of today
Paulina (Pau - pronounced POW): Drums, backing vocals and sometimes lead (while playing drums) - 22 years old as of today
Alejandra (Ale - pronounced Al-lay): Bass, backing vocals - 19 years old as of today
All are classically trained pianists and are the sweetest, and silliest girls you'll ever learn about, and are probably most well-documented band on the planet - go like & subscribe to their RUclips channel, and you'll see how much content is there - and there are many other The Warning related channels with additional content.
They decided to become rock stars because of the game 'Rock Band' which their parents gave them when Dany was about 8, Pau 6, and Ale was still to small to play, at 3 years old so she'd dance and clap while her two big sisters played. Dany picked guitar, Pau picked drums and they stuck with them. Their Dad saw how amazing Pau was with the drums and the next week he bought her a full-size kit and put her into lessons at the age of 6. When Ale got big enough (about 7) she decided she wanted to play the bass. They now have some of their own songs featured in Rock Band 4.
They have been 'The Warning' for just over 10 years. They gained notoriety when they posted a cover of Enter Sandman on RUclips which went viral. They were 14, 12 and 9 at the time. ruclips.net/video/1boUYB9LFJY/видео.html
Metallica saw the video, spurring Kirk Hammett to say, "The drummer kicks maximum ass!" (again, Pau was 12 years old at the time and already played it as good a Lars).
They were since invited by Metallica to do a complete remake of Enter Sandman with Alessia Cara, for the 30th Anniversary of the Black Album, 'The Blacklist Album'. The only rule was 'Don't change the lyrics'. They rearranged, recorded and mastered the new version in just over a week, working remotely with Alessia in Canada, and The Warning in Mexico due to the pandemic. It is the first song on the album.

They stopped doing covers around 2015 when they produced their first original EP 'Escape The Mind', and only write original music. have 2 EPs and 4 albums. Their first EP and first two albums were crowd-funded as an indie band - MANY of the people commenting here were contributors. One of the albums is considered a masterpiece of work, called 'Queen of the Murder Scene' - a concept album which tells the story of a disturbed young woman's inner journey from desire to obsession to murder and madness, and we can say the story does not end well for her. That was released in 2018. Dany was 18, Pau - 16, Ale - 13. The girls posted VLOGS explaining their creative process and the songs.
They signed with Lava Records (Republic) in 2020, and have since produced one EP and two albums with the latest, 'Keep Me Fed' being released on June 28, 2024,
They toured with Band-Maid earlier this year when they did the 'Show Them' collaboration together in Japan.
They've opened for 3 Days Grace, Foo Fighters, Halestorm, Muse, Guns & Roses, and have played multiple festivals.
They have about 30 shows planned through the rest of 2024, including a headline US Tour, supporting Halestorm in Canada (and maybe some headlines there as well?)
Their superpower is LIVE. The concert from 2022 at Teatro Metropolitan is considered their 'gold standard' concert. Every song is amazing and the mix comes directly out of the equipment so the sound is spot-on with very little crowd noise.
