Pause the catapults you don't need, keep 1 for every wall operational, 2 for longer walls. Frees up the workers and energy, stops upkeep cost. Awesome map!
A lot of youtubers now adays are far too over the top- but you have a really nice voice to listen too, so relaxing to watch, keep up the amazing content dude :)
Hear me advices, lad. 1) Put your towers two tiles from your walls at minimum. So that you have double walls, double empty tiles (could be extra wall layer right before towers) and only then tower. That'd make your defences last s ton longer endgame. 2) Try to give snipers some lovin'. En mass they are awesome and do scale well to endgame, unlike soldiers and rangers. 3) On this map there is a good idea to build hunter's cottages on one farm patch. Even from upgraded farms one patch of grain will give you less food than a hunter cottage in its place. 4) In early game, when you see that you have a surplus of some resource and do not have a market yet - pause the buildings that produce said resource. That'd give you more money, not to mention workers and energy. 5) Before a horde that you are not sure your walls could survive - replace gates with walls, if you didn't do so before. The gates are only good for endgame unit called lucifier, who could spray fire through them and thus make them pretty survivable (but even that won't work on the last wave, so replace the gates). 6) Try to circle your command center with walls. And every tower with walls. And tesla towers, that connect your defences. I lost a bunch of great defence contraptions, 'cause of harpies rushing to my crucial tesla tower, thus powering down a whole block of distant towers. 7) Advanced mills are not worth it, if you have enough space. Advanced quarries are good when you have a gold patch that'd give more than 100 with it. Or when you have more than +10 or so of iron. On stone they are not worth it either, if you are not using a lot of powerplants. 8) The more markets you have - the more profitable it is to sell! 5 wood with 1 market sells for 5 gold. With three markets its 9 gold. And oil with three markets is worth 72 gold. Though remember that you can only build 3 markets max.
I just got this video in my recommendations yesterday and it appeared there again and the videos I saw yesterday were really great, so I guess it’s a sign I should subscribe!! Keep up the good work dude👍🏽
The Starks are gone Splatt. Take the North! You can most definitely beat this map. Lovin the series man, can't wait to see you put the hurt on dem Zeds.
I do layered walls as well, gradually pushing out the less vital buildings on the outer layers. That way the horde can only hurt specific parts of my production while making it easier for me to contain and destroy them.
Meh, it's kinda a cost benefit analysis, I prefer to have at least two double thick walls between housing and outer edge, but you can always build another wall, and it may be more beneficial to reclaim the space the wall takes.
This series has me watching you again. Its very good. Also, defense in depth. Your inner defenses should be your strongest, not your weakest. Outer areas defended by mobile forces, inner areas defended by stationary, not vica versa. It will save you ALOT of resources and allow you to build much larger armies, and will also help alleviate the all or nothing combat scenarios. You will be less likely to avoid some loses, but you will be more resistant to total collapse from individual breaches. Just a suggestion.
I'm expressing my right to freedom of speech! On another note, words can't express my relief when you finally hit, what I assume is, the repairbutton. The suspense was 'sorta stabbing' me.
I don't think he knows it's gold, in one of the older videos he said he didn't have a chance to ever exploit that resource then I assume died before he got to in that video too lol.
I absolutley love this. And as you observed, for what seems like a few more weeks, you are one of our few sources of They Are Billions before it actually goes live for everyone. So please, keep it up. I love your style in general, the way you approach this game, I'm learning a lot from uh, positive and negative examples both. And I'm really happy to keep watching as many of these as you put out. My own favorite designation for the zombies comes from World War Z (the book, what movie? I don't know of any movie made from it...) where American soldiers called them Zack. You know, like the Vietnamese were Charlie. "Zack ain't in no hurry, so why are you?"
If you aren't planning on expanding in a direction, consider fortifying it, especially since you're generating more wood than you can use. You could just start stacking double walls with 2 squares in between. That way the zed's will have to go through ALL of that if they want to get in. You could put housing in between the rows of double walls as well which would protect them from all sides and make it so you dont have thee big population centers which can be easily overwhelmed.
apparently rangers run fast enough that you can run them thru hordes to explore beyond your area to see choke points ahead of time for expansion purposes... oh, and you can upgrade your houses to be bigger and they supply more workers.
Wow splatt...itz kinda funny that the RNGeus of the game felt srry for curb stomping you underground to a bijillion meters the last two games, and so it apologized by giving you an uber-awesome map. Anyways thx for the playthrough
He'd probably do a little better with a stationery firing group behind those walls that are really close to hordes and sending 1 guy out to bait a group at a time in.
Maybe a dumb idea, but I think I m at have an idea to spoof the computer to attack where you want. Place a tent out where it is easy for the zeds to get as bait. Would this work?
@SplatterCatGaming hey man I Know people keep posting comments like you need to be agressive etc that doesnt really help you at all but heres a tip that may. instead of building a ton of tents you can go in and upgrade your tents to cottages and then further upgrade them into stone houses as well it will greatly help with your population as well as space constraints... also you can research mech units through the foundry i believe and stone walls as well as upgraded balista
I got to wave 62 but i messed up because of wave 54 or so i thought i had pause the game i come back to half my base in ruin, never could recover fully from that. XD
"We can get 11 food from there (with hunter's cabin) until we get a farm"
*places it where it gains 9 food*
I love how he alternates between catapult, ballista, and treb all within about 30 seconds lol.
Please don't stop this series
I concur!
Agreed
Balista= big Fat crossbow
Trebuchet= launch big 90 kg Stones for 300m
Catapult= launch large number of stones all at once, its no treb tho
*YOU MUST CONSTRUCT ADDITIONAL PYLONS*
JonathanToolonie *YOU NEED TO AQUIRE A MORE SIGNIFICANT DEFENSIVE FORCE*
You require more vespine gas
Krysnha
Our men are running from the battlefield! A shameful display!
Pause the catapults you don't need, keep 1 for every wall operational, 2 for longer walls. Frees up the workers and energy, stops upkeep cost.
Awesome map!
Love the series, keep it coming!
Nobody is ever happy with the amount of build space they have. Loving the series man. Keep it up
A lot of youtubers now adays are far too over the top- but you have a really nice voice to listen too, so relaxing to watch, keep up the amazing content dude :)
splatter we need more they are billions uploads or a stream asap!!!enjoying it so much
Also in the lower right side a wall jumper can go and then mess with all of your cottages and then that would be a wipe I would think
Hear me advices, lad.

the upper right wall has a weak link, the part against the river, the zeds only need to destroy one part of that dubbled wall and they are in
man said dubbled wall
I just got this video in my recommendations yesterday and it appeared there again and the videos I saw yesterday were really great, so I guess it’s a sign I should subscribe!! Keep up the good work dude👍🏽
The Starks are gone Splatt. Take the North! You can most definitely beat this map. Lovin the series man, can't wait to see you put the hurt on dem Zeds.
Why destroy interior walls? Doens't it make sense to have multiple interior walls incase the outer walls are breached?
I do layered walls as well, gradually pushing out the less vital buildings on the outer layers. That way the horde can only hurt specific parts of my production while making it easier for me to contain and destroy them.
When I pick up a copy that's probably what I'll do as well. It seems like the most logical way to build.
the reasoning against it is that a lot of walls means a lot of space.
He wanted space for a warehouse which is reasonable
Meh, it's kinda a cost benefit analysis, I prefer to have at least two double thick walls between housing and outer edge, but you can always build another wall, and it may be more beneficial to reclaim the space the wall takes.
Finally, a glimpse of hope for humanity.
Until the zombies get into one tent and it all comes crashing down from there.
"Who's Zed?"
"Zed's undead baby."
this base is looking solid.. lots of room.. good places for food.. you got this man
You should really do more scouting early game to see how far you can expand. Like way more
Love this series n game already please continue it daily cuz this is now the highlight of my days on RUclips
@SplatterCatGaming If you research and build a market you will earn gold on all excess resources, they auto sell!
New sub; love the series and the commentary. Great stuff.

I'm really into this game now And I'm so glad my home page popped your channel on there 😁😁😂🙂
thoroughly enjoy this series keep them coming splat!!!
Dude, you may just be WAY ahead of the curve!
I really like this game. Don't stop making, please!
hey, please do layers of walls in case they break through you have a fall back point
I am enjoying the series. This map is awesome.
you should have kept the wall, it was a good fallback point.
Keep it coming, the stream and RUclips are barely enough to satisfy the billions
I'm expressing my right to freedom of speech!
On another note, words can't express my relief when you finally hit, what I assume is, the repairbutton. The suspense was 'sorta stabbing' me.
Needs gold doesn't notice gold mine in the power grid.
is that what that is? I thought it was copper or something like that.
I don't think he knows it's gold, in one of the older videos he said he didn't have a chance to ever exploit that resource then I assume died before he got to in that video too lol.
Seraphyx I thought he used it in one of his streams I watched but I could be wrong.
wu1ming9shi Yeah the yellow scattered spots are gold they are very helpful.
Keep it up you just a new subscriber oh and I think you said resources 10xs in 2 mins at the end lol. Great vids
love this series plz continue to make more
This game's great! Keep the uploads coming!
Excellent thanks Splatt
“We need more food”
He says after he builds 5 fishing huts
I just got into the beta for this and you've taught me so much lol keep it up!
It trips me out when you say things double, feel like I'm tripping something chronic. Lovin this series though, got a subscribe from me!
In the NE there is both an iron and stone field that can be exploited by the same quarry, once you expand in that direction.
More and longer episodes please!
"Zed's dead baby. Zed's dead."
Loving the series, splat

Great series. Earned a sub
Just got all 4 wisdom teeth pulled, thanks for the vids
Hahaha I'm lovin watching this! Can't find #9 though :( ... anyway keep it up dude ;)
You are Carl the lama and nothing will convince me other wise!
splattercat trebuchet memes confirmed.
Splat im like 12% sure that that resource up by your northern ballistas is gold.
Choke points are also essential if you have the option to make defences there you should.
keep this series!!!!! I want this game!!!
I actually think Zed came from the WWZ book? Anyways, good series, interesting game!
What's up guys and gals, me mudahar here..XD idk that's the first thing that came to my mind! 😂😂😂
Liked and subscribed just for this series ^^
anyone else feel like a lot of things makes him happy...
Actually, as an American child, I started saying Zed when Lord Zedd debuted on Power Rangers in the mid 90's, lol.
how are you not at a million subs yet!
"Close to the VEST" for Pete's sake!
I think you should use more towers, they are good for taking out stragglers trying to hit the wall, also provide more view distance.
apparently rangers run fast enough that you can run them thru hordes to explore beyond your area to see choke points ahead of time for expansion purposes... oh, and you can upgrade your houses to be bigger and they supply more workers.
Love the series
Never demolish walls. You can never have too many walls
Killing floor..... also Canada is a Zed as well
10:46 "wasting resources is something you always want to keep an eye on" >.
I was waiting all day for this yessssss
You sir have inspired me to buy this game.
The zombies target the weakest parts of the walls.
You should also focus on making traps and Ballistics so you can focus more on other things while zombies waddle towards your base.
Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead.
you conserve too much of your space, dont be afraid to take point and invade.
also keep the videos coming!
Zed's dead baby...Zed's dead
imgur.com/gallery/XS5LK
Build more soldiers for defense because thats essentially what they're built for. Rangers are just explorer units.
My OCD turned on when you missed some pylons(Bulldozing it). XD . please dont stop making this gameplay
Build that WAREHOUSE!!!!!
Yeah this map looks better than the last
LONGER VIDEOS PLEASEE
Get dat Market doe. Lowers food requirement of houses, and bank boosts gold output of houses.
I say 'Zed' because I know people that tend to panic when they hear the word 'zombie'.
PLEASE PUSH OUT MORE! I AM VERY INTERESTED OF HOW THE SPAWNING MECHANICS WORK...
Aren't the concentric walls the best type of defense? Ballistae even within your inner walls could save you in the later game, I would think.
I actually heard about a zombie being called "shells"
This is a badass series!! O by the way it’s 2021
I never say ZED for zombies... But I understand what you are talking about.
need more trebuchets Kappa
great series )new sub(
what percentage is this? or what is the infected population?
They Are Billions. Or at least they would be if Splatter could get past the second wave :p
Maybe a dumb idea, but I think I m
at have an idea to spoof the computer to attack where you want. Place a tent out where it is easy for the zeds to get as bait. Would this work?
Good shit man
@SplatterCatGaming hey man I Know people keep posting comments like you need to be agressive etc that doesnt really help you at all but heres a tip that may. instead of building a ton of tents you can go in and upgrade your tents to cottages and then further upgrade them into stone houses as well it will greatly help with your population as well as space constraints... also you can research mech units through the foundry i believe and stone walls as well as upgraded balista
Does anyone know will this game be coop ? Would be sweet to play with friends and have trade routes between colonys
I was just playing this and I found a zombie castle. Like seriously I think that is how you win. You get a squadrun and kill the houses.
Hmmm interesting, never actually used patrol at the actual walls, that I need to do, lasted till 88 days and got slaughtered.
Please keep playing this
I got to wave 62 but i messed up because of wave 54 or so i thought i had pause the game i come back to half my base in ruin, never could recover fully from that. XD
