Magnificent well done i watched this with pride even though im not from this country im british it was as if the trooping the colour had been transplanted to africa the garrison sargent major had his or her work cut well done
It's been tough to forget those beautiful melodies and memories after being your regular veiwer sincce childhood. Thumbs up Tipatet,Makadia,Kibet,Ndirangu na wote....
I’m not Kenyan or African. This drill is very very good. What a great show. Kenyans should be proud of their military. I like that they keep their old traditions. Very very excellent drill. In my mind, they march even better than the Canadians.
MATASH! you have made me proud again! The senior drum major W01 Luke Omondi was just brilliant. I have been to many trooping the color parades, and I have seen many drum majors. But MATASH beats them all. Thank you matash!
Good to see, professional! I served in Kenya in the middle sixties with the British Army and retain a respect for the country and its various peoples. The Kenyans are a great example of what can be achieved in a continent which has been divided by tribal divisions - also by the various good and bad examples set by occupying European nations.
This was a wonderful display from our KDF...God bless Kenya 🇰🇪 ❤️ 34:34 has been my favourite kdf marching song, its nostalgic to me since Moi era i was 9, famous Ruring'u stadium, the song makes me miss him...am in my 40s now. Which song is this kindly ??
The officers did a wonderful job but citzentv cameramen let us down occasionally especially the one who was shooting behind people.. many, many greetings from north carolina USA to senior drum major Luke and the entire band kudos
British Colonial Legacy at it's best. You'd swear it was the Grenadier Guards Trooping the Colour to Her Majesty The Queen. Especially when they play the Grenadier's march song haha. Brilliant
Even the fireweapons we came to learn of them from the British. There is no problem. If they were to do the trooping of the colour without playing the Grenadier Slow match tune then it can not be it to me!
How many troops do our country have if this was the 17th to be given full authority of operation? I think we need more troops one of full military science and current technology. Military is so advanced internationally...kudos our beloved sweet military formations and sweet gospel songs .
Half through and I cant help thinking that the Ceremony needed a commentator, all those exchanges and motions needed some meaning to the civilian populations. In a language to express the good feelings im reading from the comments
Very poor cameramanship Citizen TV. During a festival like this, make the cameraman and the producer understand the nitty grits of the parade, the areas that are important to focus!
Its the British Open Palm Salute dude. Some of the former British Empire territory or now you can call it Commonwealth country their military are still practising this kind of saluting.

Indeed lovely choice of Tune/Music for this event...I always love the KDF BAND.... I will never get tired of listening to this Great Band.
Wonderful job. I can't wrap my mind around the time and effort it takes to choreograph this and still be that splendid. Kenya milele daima. 🇰🇪
This is the clearest and closest a media house has aired military events. Thanks for this close range capturing. Keep it up
The best trooping of the colour ever in the world. Can't get enough of it.....
