Negative Team Tactics Are Lame - 2024 Barrio Logan Grand Prix Pro 1-3

- Recently we raced the 2024 Barrio Logan Grand Prix in Southern California. This is one of my favorite, more technical criterium courses and in my opinion one of the most fun races that happens here in SoCal. In this race I was designated to hangout in the pack or follow moves as needed as my teammate Ansel wanted to roll the breakaway and had a good shot at winning from that move.
I was able to sprint for a cash prime and finished okay in the field sprint after trying to bridge solo to stack the break in this field. Overall, happy to have finally gotten my CAT 2 and race for the first time just one race on the day... the Pro 1-3 Race.
I'm excited for the way this year has shaped up and the team is riding well. We're learning the way each other ride and we're getting faster and more cohesive over time.

Ronnie's Twerk Vid is comin' in hot just you wait.
@@WaltDoesBikes 😝 oh no I thought this was it
15:44 I won an umbrella prime one time 😀😃. And this wasn't really any kind of sprint, we were just rolling through the prime lap, and no one was going for it I mean no one, we were just cruising as if we were in the middle of the race. so I went for it, nobody went with me, so I can say I proudly won a uncontested umbrella sprint 🙂.
What's the biggest prime you ever won?
Honestly I think the 50 bucks cash hahah.
"Everybody in the peleton wanted to chase me." Your power was never that high or it appeared to fade very quickly. So it seems from this vodeo that the field probably didn't have too hard a time catching you. If you're going to bridge up, you have to hit em a lot harder than that.
There was zero hesitation from the remaining field any time I accelerated to roll away. Since when is getting separation about maximum power? It’s about timing and momentum, no?
He’s always lie
Casually catching strays a year later 😅
Hahaha glad you caught that. I didn’t have the actual event on camera from last year so had to throw shade 🤣
You forgot to mention the CFT rider was the one make the break way happen
Damn. Shouts to CFT for establishing a break and then failing to stack it and losing the race 🤝🏼
@@WaltDoesBikes jajaja 😆 straight hater 🤣 like always Emilio azcona got second place 🥈 like always hating on CFT 🤣 🤣 it’s all good
@@carlosmartinez-em4ir what do you mean like always? Hahah this is the only time I’ve said anything about em. I don’t have to say anything for everyone to know what’s up. 🤣

Always hating on CFT one more thing you forgot To mention CFT won the race
But they didn’t.
For more context the results went - LABA, 149, iSpeed, Deus Velox, Ronnie Toth… CFT didn’t even finish in the top 5
@ what are you talking about 🤣 you a straight hater lol 🤣 Emilio azcona got second place 🥈 🤣 he is from CFT .. Gio got 3 and Emanuel Ramirez got 1 get your facts right dude
@ what are you talking about 🤣 🤣 you a straight hater 🤣 Emilio azcona got second place 🥈 🤣 He is from CFT.. Gio got 3 and Emanuel Ramirez got 1 get your facts right dude
@ congrats to him. Doesn’t change my thoughts on the way CFT races overall. Maybe if they’d have stacked the break they wouldn’t have lost to the LABA kid.
