nice video, lots of watches hitting the PASS bucket today 😆 I had the same feeling about the bruce wayne on the release... kind of a yawn. but when you see it in person, it's classy and more mysterious than it's well known cousins. pepsi & batman you can recognize instantly, everyone knows what it is from a distance - they have become hype pieces thanks to social media. the sprite is cool, but LHD is not for everyone, and the starbucks scratches the green bezel itch also. the bruce wayne is for the buyer that wants a GMT without the hype. Future classics are often not popular in the moment. Buy what speaks to you, not what everyone else is chasing.
I’d probs agree about Bruce Wayne if it were the first watch I was after. But I’ve already got a couple of flashy ones with my Bluesy and my yellow gold Wimbledon, so the Bruce Wayne is one I’m after next for a more covert and smart daily watch.

I’ve got my eyes on the Paul Newman, the new reference with the new buckle and clasp, and I may be the ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD 🌎 who likes the fact that they got rid of the red hands and went with all gold motif!! I have yet to see one in the flesh, but the pictures look incredible ❤ I have a great relationship with my A.D. so hope to get one by YE 2024 😊

I was able to get from an AD a two tone Skydweller on jubilee with black dial and I passed

My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from AMZWATCH

There is no best to worst, it’s all a matter of taste. I think a two tone Datejust is more beautiful than a steel Daytona.

How can you say the 18k black face Sky Dweller is the " sweet spot of the range" then a few seconds later say there is no demand for it and you wouldn't wear it???? 🤔🤔🤔
In my opinion it’s the best combination in the reference, however, due to my personal preference it’s still a pass! 🙌🏻💯

Hell yeah, got the call from my AD on 9/14 for my YM 42mm RLX Titanium and I absolutely LOVE it! It is my daily and it has pushed my Sub to my weekend watch, my SDDS 44mm to my night out watch and my vintage 36mm yellow gold datejust on black leather band to black tie events.
The titanium is so light I forget that I am wearing a watch.
Just need my new reference Daytona GHOST and I am complete!

Sea Dweller 43 such an underrated reference, it wears well, and beats the sub in all categories, no one even mentions it in any list, maybe a list of the more obscure would be interesting, all these models are familiar to most. It is also available without silly wait lists (a month from the AD)

I'm actually falling for the steel and gold Explorer. I already have the steel 36mm and I love it, but given the fact that I love my flash suits and shoes, but also travel around to very obscure places, the contrast of the two metals might be more fitting and unique.

The Bruce Wayne is THE WORST GMT ever released by Rolex. A green GMT hand was horrible on the first SS Ceramic which at least had a solid black bezel insert. The green hand disappears in low light conditions. I understand the Rolex 50 year anniversary tradition to use green on a 50 year anniversary piece but 2005 was the 50 year anniversary NOT 2007. But to bring the AWFUL green back with a half black and half grey bezel? Come on Rolex! What are you'll doing?! Just make the black bezel with a Red GMT hand already!!!!

Rolex OP 5.5k, from these guys ‘just under 8k’
Look at the other watches from other brands you can attain for that level of expenditure - OP or JLC Reverso Tribute small seconds in Burgundy, Zenith Chronomaster Original a386, Glashütte original panomaticlunar in green, Speedmastef moon watch professional. Do you research before buying guys.
Probably not enough with customers for those brands and pieces. Many of the gray market dealers make their money from selling many watches each week, belive only Rolex and few cheap Omega and Tudors may be have the required customer base.
OP is still better than all of the watches you listed as a daily. It is the only one coming on proper comfortable metal bracelet. Glashütte original panomaticlunar in green is arguably the most impressive dressy watch I've ever handled under 15k but the metal bracelet for it is.. just meh.... and the OEM strap is awful with terrible clasp (clasp requires a screw driver to adjust, like who the fk wants to have a folding clasp that requires a screw driver when it gets too hot?!)
@@rem9011 I’m a fan of all brands including Rolex but OP better than a reverso or Chronomaster original? A daily is unique to each individual. I wear a GS snowflake as my daily, titanium, ridiculously accurate, dressy when it needs to be. Is Rolexes mass produced entry level watch it better than that as a daily too? Lol.
@@fahimhussain1105 You do realise that GS snowflake is "mass produced" too, right?
Personally I find GS snowflake to be substantially worse than Rolex OP in every category. Trash bracelet, no micro adjustments, bad date change mechanism (date is off-centre for a whole hour per day between 11pm and 12). The GS Snowflake shape is not particularly comfortable for me, the lugs are unnecessarily thick and generically aesthetically look off.
Then there is the movement. What is the point of a fake mechanical movement? If you want an electronic movement - get one. Bulova makes the Precisionist movement that is superior to the GS spring drive in every single metric, for 10-20x less cost?! Of course spring drive is not mechanical because the most important component, the time keeping element, is electric, hence it is just a fake mechanical movement with worse characteristics than any good quality quarts.
To each his own, I tried both OP and GS Snowflake many times before making a decision of what to buy, and GS was not even in the top 5. Saying that GS Snowflake is better than OP is just cluelessness, you can prefer the GS and it is still a great watch, but it is definitely not better than OP.

Went yesterday to pick a watch and thought I’d be ordering either the Batman or girl. But when I put the Bruce Wayne on oyster I fell in love with it and I’ve ordered that one instead I thought the Batman and batgirl looked a bit too much almost vulgar. He did bring out a lot of two tone watches for me to try on . He said most of them would be available to take home on the day . Some lovely date just models and an explorer even gmt can’t believe how times have changed. I’ll be waiting around 18 months for my Bruce Wayne fingers crossed
