I still can´t tell why the Scorpions are being that underrated. To me: One of the best rock bands on this planet.

Not really , they withstood the test of time ((90's)) lol.....and have managed to sell a few units along the way........But I do know what you mean..........Its kind of a phenomenon.

I love Klaus's moves in the early days. Best concert I ever saw was Scorps in Vegas at the Aladdin Hotel 1984
Takes me back. Saw Rush, UFO, Max Webster before. So, stood in the front, Pete's bass was crushing loud. Little later, saw Scorpions open for Ted Nugent. Lovedrive tour. Francis's bass same thing, crushing loud. As a teenage drummer, memories. Still love it loud, man. No other way to go.

I actually saw these dudes in August 1979 at Milwaukee's lakefront Summerfest main stage on their very first North American tour for the Lovedrive album. They opened for Blackfoot and Ted Nugent. I've been a die-hard Scorpions fan ever since.
Scorpions live is something else!

Amazing Band that lasted more than half a century. Still Rocking like never tomorrow. Video quality is superb. Their music still sound great til today. I hope the new generation learn to rock the stage lets keep rock n roll and metal music alive as long as ever. Those decades of rock music are one of the best years for all the rockers fans.

Don’t hold your breath. There are some clips from European television with Uli, but that’s it. There is no live footage of them on stage in the Uli era. This was told to me by Uli himself. What a bummer!

EveningWind - Noooooo, they’re still really good friends with Uli. He’s played on stage with them many times since 2005. Klaus and Uli did a video together to promote the Taken By Force and Tokyo Tapes remasters in 2015. If you haven’t seen it, search for it - it’s pretty cool!

Absolutely Tremendous,. I was a senior in high school in 79. We were listening to Lovedrive, animal Magnetism, . And it's too Bad that Rarebell, and Bucholz arent with the 3 of them anymore. To me it's not the real band without them also. It's just members of Scorpions now!
Francis' playing is so underrated. One of the best rock bass players in my opinion. Herman was a beast too. Francis and Herman really locked into that rhythm section thing. Excellent point.

thats not mathias...not sure who that is actually, but i know mathias was not in the band in 1979
He is Matthias definitely.it was the period after Michael schenker briefly returned and then left the band.
Tom Marsh also it was the animal magnetism era where Matthias plays on the album though Rudolph plays some leads..
Tom Marsh - Michael Schenker did two weeks of the Lovedrive tour (in Europe) in ‘79 before quitting. They got Mathias to join permanently after that.
Crush Everything also played on lovedrive album .also played with scorpions as you mentioned on that same tour.the animal magnetism album/tour were fast in between lovedrive and blackout .🎸👍

Absolutely fantastic. Scorpions starting the conquest of America! Very interesting to feel how Matthias Jabs played in a similar way to Ulrich Roth, and very well. Release the DVD !!!
Uli and Mathias is like night and day. Mathias sounds like an amateur here compared to what Uli played with Scorpions. Let’s keep it real, kids.
