Captain Werner von Ebrennac is not only a handsome man , but also a dignified military officer , and a true gentleman . This is why he is the man every young woman would dream of ... 💙
Thank you for uploading such a beautiful trailer with high resolution. The story is romantic and heart breaking. Pure love and respect with no vulgarity. I wish all couples feel this love in their lifetime. Masterpiece!
Watch this film again and again - so romantic love, beautiful playing of actors, each time find something new for myself. Envy that one who will see this film for the first time!
*Without a doubt, it is the best movie I have ever seen, congratulations to the actors and the director.
Do you think she forgot him in the very end of the film? 🤔 I have some problems with the end, they loved each other, the purest love, she cried when he left, but what's going on? In the very end she is happy?? Although he went to death? 🤔 I don't understand that...
@@alexandrabrockmeyer3122 No, she is not happy, be sure of that. She just lost hope when he did. She then decided to serve her country the best she could while hiding everything from her grand-father. Like the officer she loved, she probably didn't survive long. According to my dad, the average survival rate of a Resistant in 1941-42, was about 6 months to a year, maximum, at least in the region he was.
@@alexandrabrockmeyer3122 She was certainly facing death quite knowingly, and for almost the same reasons as his. His friends had shattered all the illusions and hope he had, which were appeasement with France, and by extension, the hope of ever having her for a wife. They would unfortunately have to remain enemies. He just went away to the frontline to end his great disappointment a little faster. For her, he had little by little managed to somewhat convince her that things would turn right, but they wouldn't, just as she feared. Then he left, and she knew he would not come back so, she followed the same path, for her country. Don't forget that in 1942, the end of the war was far far away, and nobody could even tell how it would end. The background I have to tell you that is the book I read a long time ago in school. If you don't have the book, I can give you a few passages from it that support what I say. If you have more questions, I surely can try to answer them even if only according to my comprehension or point of view, Keep in mind the book and the movie are quite different especially regarding the romance content. However, in a certain way, the movie manages to keep its essence.
@@Marie-ThereseMBial I'm so glad you explained it to me so the very end seems to me quite clearer🙏🏻 Although I must say I watched this film nearly 30 times by now, I'm pretty fascinated! The very end was the part that confused me a little bit every time because she seemed to be so happy... I understood the two main strings the film follows-Résistance and love on the other hand. They couldn't manage to let their love out because of all the reasons you mentioned!? So you can say in the very end she joined the resistance because of both, her love for her country and love for Werner?

One day, I will be normal again, and I won't be obsessed with this movie. But for now 😭😭😭
I feel the same. I just came across the movie and I'm hooked. Can't stop watching it.
