I actually really liked the sheer multilayered chaos of the second game and felt like it was an improvement over the more linear but (at least to me) less interesting levels of the first game. In the second game, I liked being able to run through forests, jump up into an otherworldly landscape, fight a bit, dart past a few buildings, collect a surprisingly well-written lore entry, fight a crazy miniboss near some water, screw up a dash and fall for a long while, ending up in a cave system that I have to frantically fight my way out of back to the surface, only to find myself next to my last mission objective. Yes, sometimes this didn't work at a, and it's been a while since I've played so I may be wearing some serious rose-tinted glasses, but even so I hope they still keep the feeling of navigating a world that has be split and warped almost (but not quite) beyond our abilities to map or traverse.
The first 2 Shadow Warrior games are absolutely ridiculous in all the right ways. I would highly recomend that any gore-hound-gamer play Shadow Warrior 1 & 2 as soon as possible if they haven't already. It's hard to play either game without grinning like a madman from ear to ear. Shadow Warrior 1 was the first game I got for ps4 using the ps store credit that came with the console since it was one of the cheapest games back in 2014 and boy am I glad I bought it! Just replayed the 2 games to be ready first one!
Glad to hear that the weapons have upgrades and that there is a basic skill tree. I just hope we don't have to jump through hoops to get upgrade points like we did in Doom 2016. A gameplay style like doom is still a plus.

Shadow Warrior 2, I couldn't even begin to defeat because there were so many bugs, the game just wouldn't pull through. This one looks to be unbelievably awesome and I'm just hoping that it can keep up with its own pace without turning into Shadow Warrior 2 all over again.

Only thing you need to know is 3 is just a shell of its former 2. It's 4-5 hours, no ng+ or anything really. It's just a campaign standard. Very vanilla.
They fired lo Wangs voice actor cause he was white and hired an Asian voice actor (cause apparently it's not acting anymore, you can only act who you are). Don't support the racist decisions that flying wild hog made. If you love part 1 and 2, then boycott 3. The voice acting is an integral part of Shadow Warrior and to add insult to injury the new voice actor sounds bored and lacks all of Jason liebrecht's emotion and fun he brought to lo wang

While the humour and gameplay look improved, number 13 that I didnt hear is a lack of coop. With all the other bigger titles coming out there i value coop shooters alot, if done well and SW2 i enjoyed alot. But because this is a single player experience, 8.5 hours to conplete (50 to 60$ is now 16 hours minimum for me) and with games like elden ring, witchqueen, tiny tinas, D2 patches, etc, this game will be a sale purchase. Sorry guys but want to slay with the bros, but if you enjoy single player games, definitely support and get the game because these guys do justice with gameplay and witty humor which more games need.

This is my friends favorite game, after being talked into download it on game pass I eventually gave it a go and I can honestly say... What a load of crap the game is. The graphics look like they came of the N64, the acting is like they just pulled random people off the street, the gameplay is average at best, they so called "hilarious" story and dialogue (according to my friend) is like something from Duke nukem forever and was like it fell out of the 90s... If you like it you like it I am not gonna judge you for doing so and I really hope you enjoy it but its one I'll probably pass on and I am still gonna make fun of my friend for liking it.
To be honest, I'm happy that Jason isn't voicing Lo Wang anymore, this game is cringe and Jason don't deserve to be part of this. Go play SW2013 instead folks.
Game looks real cool. Looks like a mix of doom and bulletstorm while being more like the original reboot. 2 was cool but it’s looter shooter stuff was pretty limited. Having a more focused experience will probably be better.
Loving the more back to basics approach. Games these days are way too bloated filled with unnecessary filler to artificially pad the game out. Shadow Warrior 1 was a dream to play, Shadow Warrior 2 felt like a chore.

If you play the game like a chore its boring, but as mindless demon killing? It's not bad at all. Plus 4 player co-op.
