- I just returned from an overseas holiday and it was a couple of weeks since my last fishing session.
On Saturday I ventured down the Logan River knowing that we had received a little bit of rain recently and this may reduce the catch rate in certain areas but it could stir up the mud crabs.
First up I targeted flathead near the old gazebo and after an hour with no result (apart from the catfish and stingrays) I decided to zip down to Marks Rocks to see if I could pick up a couple of bream.
It ended up an OK day - I hope you enjoy the video.
another very entertaining video there John. thank you very much look forward to seeing you soon 100%
Well done John, another old fella I know only fished with bread when chasing bream and I should give it a go. Thanks.
well done on a 1000 subscribers. love your work . always recommend to freinds

Not bad John. I tried the Nerang River on Saturday. Not even one whiting, only a couple of breams. Never happened before. It looks like rain
made it worse.
The fresh water can make things tough at times. I believe they have been getting whiting late at night at the Council Chambers.
Nice feed!!
The mud crab at the end made it a decent feed
Nice mate, not a huge haul but a good feed nonetheless.
Yep - it was ok - didn’t catch what I wanted but with all the rain during the week I thought it might be a tough day.
Hi what lb line you use ?
I have a 9lb line on the squeaky alvey - the alvey I fish for bream with has a 6lb line and the blue alvey - I think it may have a 12 lb line.
