I’d seat the gearbox before winding those bolts in chap, I know it’s a little late but you do wanna align that clutch and sorry to say this may have been the reason why you had that little issue the following day of removing the box, top vid as always looking forward to seeing this 318is
a lot of people have been saying this... its all sorted now with no issues - yet to start and test the car though, maybe the whole thing will explode when i try to drive it hahaha so far to my understanding it was difficult to slide the shaft in because of the lack of lube more than anything else i still believe a clutch alignment tool is not needed for this job
@@AlexDotchev completely agree an alignment tool isn’t needed… a socket and a good eye can assist with that 👍🏻 does make a difference as does a bit of lube!! You should really have put some Loctite on those nuts For the flywheel should’ve give me a shout I have clutch alignment tool i’ve just ordered a gearbox jack i’ve probably got every tool you need so just give me a shout if you need anything even got an engine support that goes across the two wings so you can work underneath without the crane in your way
This is going to help me a lot when I swap my motor, which I hope is not soon because just last night all my coolant leaked under the car when idling in a cloud of smoke... must be just a hose but the problems never end lmao
