I grew up in the Northwest side of Chicago and went to Steinmetz HS class of 1962. Tony dropped out of Steinmetz at the age of 16 to help with the family Italian restaurant. I had a neighbor that went to St. Ferdinan Grammar School . Across the street lived Joe Di Leonardo and the Lopardos. I got to know my neighbors classmates and older brothers Joe D and Richard Lopardo. All of them knew and were only acquaintances of Anthony Spilatro. The local park was Riis Park. Anthony used to hang out at the field House at least in the summer. Michael hung out around the pool during the day and night swim which was adults team and adults. Michael and his buddies, usually about 7 were the terror of the park. If you looked at Michael or stared at him they would take pleasure in beating you up for fun. As a teen Michael wasn’t chubby but fat. After the night swim there was a hot dog stand and the Spilotros DiLeonardos and Lopardos were all there. I would talk to them so the Spilotros knew I was there friend. Therefore I felt somewhat safe around Michael and his goon squad. I never personally saw Anthony bother anyone or show any anger. Rumor was he carried a revolver. Little did I imagine that as scrawny 5’4” teen I would talk and stand next to any future notable persons in history. Because of your platform I am remembering my youth and my time at Riis Park. All pleasant except for witnessing the violence of Michael and his goons hurting individuals for no good reason. Forgot to mention Joe DiLeonardi went on to become Chief of Detectives of the Chicago Police Department and was tough on crime especially Italians who gave them a shady unwarranted reputation. Back to Steinmetz infamous alumni, Hugh Hefner, editor of the school paper, Silver Streaks. He had a TV program in Chicago called “Playboy After Night “ I believe. Don’t know if it was local or syndicated. This was pre LA Playboy Mansion which has been dug up underground tunnels being exploded. This was a total CIA and Mossad Honey Trap operation but I’m not going down that Rabbit Hole. Thanks for the memories!
Thanks for sharing all that! Amazing info and insight into these guys. I could see Michael being a fat teen, he kinda looks chubby walking in this video. Maybe it’s the short arms. Keep the stories coming!
I wouldn’t wish violence on anyone but if I’m totally honest with you Tom, if there was anyone that really deserved what they got it was the Spilotro brothers, I’ve only researched that life thankfully mate, especially Chicago for many years on and off, okay they were only told what to do but you don’t have to do it, just don’t get yourself involved with that shit, I understand that it’s run by bosses but when Ricca, Accardo and Murray Humphries ran Chicago there was nothing tighter than the Outfit Tom, they were much tighter than New York ever was mate, even the FBI who were sent to Chicago had begrudgingly respect for Ricca, Accardo and Murray Humphries but they hated the likes of Giancana I know they whacked people the 3 of them have but it was only business really some just enjoyed it I guess, I know the Spilotros got it hard but look what they dished out to people so like I said I honestly think they deserved what they got I’m sorry to say. Take care buddy from Stevie boy in Britain.
Frank Schweihs and Albert Vena did the Allen Dorfman hit. Schweihs was a stone killer! He had done alot of hits in his time. Used a 22lr and put all 7 slugs in Dorfman.
Much love to you, Keep the good times coming man, Much love from these families: the Difronzo's, the Sarno's, the Marcellos, and the Greicos ;) I can speak for all 4
It’s the Blue Oyster Cult version but slowed down and reverb added. The features go in order: Allen Dorfman, Sam Giancana, Tony and Michael Spilotro, Charles Meriam, Sam DeStefano, and Marilyn Monroe. The bodies on the stretcher at the end are a Spilotro and then Allen Dorfman to close it. I’ll add this to description. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Little known fact this was actually one of my grand fathers. The Anthony spilotros favorite songs he would play it all the time. As I've heard from his brother attorney John spilotro his undocumented daughter and my mother who is the spitting image of him if he was a female she looks like Tony with a wig on. Another thing Tony would call himself the phantom as he believed he was invisible one his old friend who road on a plane to Los Angeles with him told me. Nut when the plane landed he was anything but as every member of law enforcement and media rushed him when he got off shouting at him what are you doing in LA! Etc. But I guess to his alleged victims he was indeed a phantom because they'd never see him coming.
I don't know where you get the idea the Chicago Outfit, or the Mafia at all, had anything to do with the death of Marilyn Monroe? It was never established that she was murdered. Thomas Noguchi, who performed the autopsy on her, still believes she killed herself. And even if she was murdered it wouldn't fit the Mob's MO which overwhelmingly is guns and to a much lesser extent bombs, and beatings that result in someone's death. Carl Sagan said, "Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence"; in this case there is no evidence.
What did you do? Slow down Blue Oyster Cults song? That's sacrilege. That's like eating salami with mayonnaise. What's the matter with you? Get outta here! I'll smack ya. Don't do that anymore.

Funny enough I just watched a documentary and Joe DiLeonardi comes up. Fred Roti told the mayor remove DiLeonardi, or we shut down the city.

@@bettertimeschi It was bad ass
How about a video of Mount Carmel cemetery where they're all buried
Good suggestion. Now that the weather is getting warmer in Chicago I plan to do more on site filming of locations.
Brilliant idea mate well done for suggesting it mate.
Who is performing this version of don't fear the reaper?
Also name all the people featured in the video? Thank you.

@@bettertimeschi very fitting. Great job.
Very eerie.
Thanks for the reply and No problem
A dead body that is found in the trunk of a car , it’s called “trunk music”!!
I’m no expert but I’ve seen the Spilotro’s grave a few times, looks like it was dug with a backhoe, just saying, somebody else knew
Increase the playback speed
Sad
I understand what did I just watch
Just a few victims of the Chicago mob
Well I’m sorry to say but killing is a very big part of organised crime, and the Outfit were definitely no exception guys.
Very true. They liked to eat their own. Thanks for watching!
@@bettertimeschi no worries buddy I watch all your videos mate, I really enjoy watching your documentaries about the Outfit.

You should have added the names
Noted, I’m gonna start doing that.
