I really felt bad for Mel here. They knew everything she was going through and instead of being her rock and good girlfriend it seemed like they added more stress.

Mel said she found out in March 2017. So she had been knowing for years before this aired. In season 1, episode 2, martell tells marsau that Mel met with arionne. That’s why Ms Wanda called her a sister wife.

And didn’t Tisha agree that Mel contacted her about the invite. I watched it three times and no where in that scene did Mel come off as lying. Besides why would Kimmi want BOOGIE Mel at her shower anyway.
The only lie I heard is when Tisha told everyone at the table Mel RSVP but when Mel confronted her she obviously didn’t have true receipts of Mel’s rsvp so…
Mel's background is beautiful that view is breath -taking 😩😍😍. Martell and Mel really had an empire. It's unfortunate how it ended. However, Mel seems so much happier by herself. Her glow was something serious 💁🏾♀️💃🏾✨️. She seems like a different person fast forward to the current seasons. Seeing her back then vs. Now she seems to be in a much better place. 💖💖 *sidenote Mel was so supportive of Tisha 🥺. We all need friends like that. She really wanted her to win.
marsau really wanted Tisha home solely raising his kids while he can go out and do whatever. It’s pathetic she accepts his ways. he doesn’t even know his children or want to take care of them outside of paying bills

Mel explained it. She thought martell was done with Coleslaw when they signed on to the show. After the did contracts and were planning to film, she found out he was still fooling with her. So thats how it became a thing.

Carlos even said out of his mouth that when OWN gave the green light for them to shoot the pilot, he called Mel and Mel told him she just found out Martell was still cheating and she doesn’t want to do the show. Carlos assured her that he would be there for her and would hold her hand through it all, if she would just film the pilot. Mel agreed and here we are. God bless.

Even if the gala was a celebratory event...As friends we support each other and that may be by doing things that are different from your personal norm; but because this is a friend that you love, you show support even if it's out of your comfort zone.
