Regardless of the wife's pregnancy, there is a limit to how much attention he gives his ex outside of professional courtesy when he knows full well the ex came back for him and his constant disregard for what his wife might feel is blatant disrespect. There is no excuse for that. Everyone has told him to sever his ties with the ex but he never listens. Whether he admits it or not, he is involved with his ex. Even if it is not intimate this time, the fact that he runs yo her every need proves it.
I've noticed that Chinese dramas have crazy unhealthy relationships between male and female leads. I wish they would stop with this. Being rude/abusive/downright nasty to your crush for no reason (as yiacheng was in almost this entire drama) is NOT romantic. If every one of these has this sort of plotline I would rather stop watching

Cause the ex doesn't have family except for an abusive father (also no friends) and she told him that she's seriously injured. He later told his best friend that even if a complete stranger asked for help he would've helped them. He had no idea about his wife's pregnancy or accident. Also it was a forced marriage, the wife told him that she married him to keep her job. Also he thought the wife loved his best friend and for a reason, cause the way his wife and best friend acted was as misleading as his relationship with his ex. Though when the ex first appeared when he was married, he told her immediately that he got over her and what's in the past is in the past, now he's married.

Although I haven’t watched the series but helping someone isn’t wrong when they are in need, but dropping her in the hospital and calling her relative or friend should be fine if it’s that serious. Other than that you should definitely keep your distance from your ex. It’s a fact that someone is your ex not present at least to respect your wife

The ex calling him saying she has a severe injury, lying to get him with her, is so suspicious. He should've caught on. He's a married man. In reality, if a man only does things out of "courtesy", they aren't that "courteous" as to stay despite the girl fooling him. Plus it's an arm wound. Why call her ex? How old is she? Five? She can't walk to the hospital or flag a cab? She has an arm wound, not a leg injury. She's not that helpless. Sleazy, cunning ex. I hate drama tropes like this. Making a huge problem for the lead characters due to dumbness and not talking with each other. Dramas would be much better if they think better on how to advance their plot without these tropes.

I'm a little different I guess. I'd be the type to tell him I'm in the hospital soon as I saw him but would say since you are with your ex it's fine if it's not convenient. This way you can't say you didn't know and hang up. And refuse his calls from there. Later confront about the time he spends outside of work on his ex and ask how does that look...I'm not one to keep silent myself. I know it's not the best method but polite in this situation won't work either...

Bossy president was always clear with his ex in that everything between them was strictly business related, although his ex made up some bs accident and did many things to try to separate him from Luli, he was dumb enough not to see what she was doing, thus making his ex successful in separating them.
But also the wife wasn't straightforward with him. For one, she could tell him that his ex manipulated him to postpone that dinner with his wife. If he knew that he'd know what he was dealing with and behave accordingly.

El rechaza de palabra a la ex novia, pero siempre se queda con ella y abandona a su esposa, cada que la ex lo busca, siendo consciente del interés amoroso que ella tiene por él. Sabe que ha vuelto por él y cada vez le recuerda su pasado y le dice que lo ama. Sabiendo eso, por qué sigue andando con ella? Lógicamente porque ella aún le importa y tiene sentimientos por ella. Liman lo sabe, por eso no le importa que la "rechace", sabe que seguirá yendo con ella cada que lo llame y alberga la esperanza de recuperarlo. Si la rechazara de verdad, no corriera a verla cada que lo busca. Por ejemplo, los supuestos problemas de violencia de su padre él pudo haberle buscado un abogado que la atienda, era necesario que sea él quien se haga cargo personalmente?Claro que no. Pero él estuvo todo el día con ella, incluso se fue a cenar con ella. Eso es rechazar? Las acciones son las que cuentan. No las palabras. Él mentía, para aparentar integridad, pero no era íntegro. The set up of this entire drama is one of the most sexist things I've ever seen and the drama just keeps proving how it is one of the worst. I love the actor, i adored him since the eternal love and you are my destiny. However; his character in this one is a complete jerk and he literally doesn't deserve any girl. He should learn how to respect women and communicate in relationships first. What a fricking a**.
Well, he did make up for it in the next episodes and he also experienced what the wife felt when it was his turn to be jealous.
I disagree, he was much worse in You Are My Destiny than here. Here he was forced to marry the girl, he was convinced she didn't care about him and was all over his best friend, he ALWAYS made it clear to his ex that he didn't want to be back with her, he didn't know his wife was pregnant (he didn't even know he slept with her because she lied to him). Looking at this story from his POV he really didn't do anything wrong. It's just he didn't see the full picture. But the same may be said about the FL.

In You Are My Destiny the hero knew his wife was pregnant with his baby but still treated her badly and cared for his ex for a good part of the story. In Cute Programmer they're just getting to know each other, he doesn't know his wife is pregnant, esp. that he doesn't remember sleeping with her (and she lied to him about it), and he made it clear to his ex that he's over her from the start, he's just helping her as a friend because she has no relatives. Those two dramas are really different in many ways, and the main leads are different too.
That's it, this guy needs a Mortal Combat Fatality! The FL should have packed her bags and ran the next morning to that new city. She could have emailed over her resignation and had her friends pack any remaining stuff and sent it to her bestie's place so she could mail it over. Kinda sudden but drastic times demand drastic measures. She could have just called/texted her friends why she left suddenly. My heart hurts for Koala but she's got a hidden strength and a baby to help her thru. I know her friends would help her especially if she told them NOT to discuss her info and location to him. Yiming should have been more harsh on ML. He knows the most what's going on and how much danger she's in. ML is clueless on so many levels and I guess ignorance is bliss for this DA.

Justamente él lo estaba llamando para comunicarle del embarazo, su amigo viejo mono la convenció que él es un buen tipo y que se preocupa por ella, pero él no contestaba la llamada porque justo como nunca dejó el celular en su abrigo y le contesta Liman y luego lo vé sosteniendo amorosamente la mano de Liman en el hospital, para qué le va decir? Ella no quería obligarlo a quedarse con ella amando a otra mujer, solo por su hijo, porque,además es moche anterior cuando su suegra les pidió un nieto, él fue claro al decir que todavía no quería tener hijos. Por esas razones decide callar y desaparecer.

Pero analizando los hechos ,ella se fue sin dar explicaciones ni buscarlo y decirle nada, desapareció, cómo explicar su desaparición al mismo tiempo que desapareció el juego?. Lo lógico es pensar que ella es culpable. Ahora, el creerla ladrona, en qué la afectó para que se sienta culpable? Acaso la acusó? La hizo encarcelar? Qué daño le causó para que se sienta culpable?. De ser ella tan inocente, si tanto lo amaba debió quedarse para apoyarlo en la demanda contra la empresa que compró el juego y contra su propio padre, pero ella prefirió irse al extranjero con la ganancia de la venta del juego que le dio su padre, a seguir estudiando y trabajar en un corporativo extranjero y volvió como una exitosa y adinerada ejecutiva. De qué senirse culpable? Y otra cosa, qué hacía ella con ese disco duro en su casa? Por qué no estaba en la empresa, o en poder de Yichen? Eso no se explica en el drama. Yo creo más bien que eso de sentirse culpable por algo inexistente fue un pretexto de él para llevar a Liman a su empresa y permanecer a su lado, sin ser juzgado por su amigo.
Cómo no se sintió culpable cuando ofendió a Luli acusándola de negligente y descuidada cuando Liman borró su juego de la competencia del servidor de Luli y no quizo creer a su esposa cuando ella dijo que vieron entrar a Liman a su oficina esa noche del sabotaje. El supo que fue injusto pero no le dio ni tantita pena ni culpa. No le creo su pretexto de culpabilidad, no hay razón alguna. Lo cierto es que contrario a lo que él decía, no ha sido capaź de cortar de raíz esos lazos emocionales que lo ataban a su pasado con Liman. Lo que cuentan son los hechos, no lo que se dice, es fácil mentir, lo difícil es demostrar la verdad con tus acciones. Y sus acciones dicen que él todavía tenía sentimientos por Liman, la atendía, la cuidaba, la protegía y la consentía, dejando siempre de lado a su esposa, desoyendo todo consejo, todo reproche. Incluso se sentía conflictuado entre sus senrimientos y su relacion contractual de matrimonio con Luli y abusaba de ella, que fue la víctima en su relación con Liman, se lo dijo el propio Yimin.

I loved him. He was helping everyone in the background without anyone knowing. He was just bad a showing his real emotions. He was helping his wife investigating and also he hated to use his connections but he arranged for the deadline to be extended for the competition, when his wife fell asleep he continued her task, also when he fired his employee he gave him a lot of money to support him and also found a job for him.... And yeah, as a friend he helped his ex to deal with her abusive father and he helped her when she was injured but was always clear about their relationship. He told her that he helps her as a friend and nothing more.
