Palance is funny, but he was also totally on point with his retort, 'Are you asking me, or leading me to an answer?' Quite often times, interviewers do the latter, and i would much rather hear the former.
Marvelous! Angel man Jack Palance is in great good form for this interview. He reminds me of Master Bruce Lee so much sometimes, he has so much energy & so much good health, and just outright discipline and focus. Good health has a positive effect on you and on the Universe, always. And the energy you get from training just makes you happy and cheers you up. Thanks for gracing the screen once agaen for us Sir Jack, it's been a pleasure Sir.
Jack was a boxer in his youth and came from hardscrabble Ukrainian immigrants he could shatter Letterman in a real fight even at the right old age of 73.
Who's going to think about a film that's 40yrs old. ? !!!!! Well sorry Jack, there are thousands, possibly millions of film fans and admirers around the World, who have SHANE right up there, as one of the true classics in the Holywood westerns. Once Upon A time in the West, the three Clint dollar trilogies, Shane can hold a candle to any of those westerns, and it was made as long ago as 1952. True classics will remain just that, Classics
Jack Palance A Man's Man. Brings to mind the Thomas Paine expression if you're afraid to offend you cannot be honest. And if nothing, Mr palance was certainly that! And I have to say, another masterfully navigated interview by Mr Letterman on someone who was notorious for chewing up and spitting out interviews. ❤
Jack was an amazing actor and an even better human being. One of my favorite movies is Heat with Pacino and Deniro. I cant help what might have been if Pacino declined the role or wasnt available to play Hanna. Jack would have been perfect for that role.
I saw it recently while exploring the wide range of Palance films. He was so under-utilised and didnt even save the film from how cringy and poorly written and acted it was
It's funny how confused the audience seems to be, not understanding that Palance is joking a lot with his answers, or giving metaphorical replies. Their reactions seem to be taking everything he says as literal. Was there no understanding of simile and metaphors in 1992?
+Matthew Stechel : still, David Paymer was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the film, which greatly pleased Mr. Crystal (who also wrote and directed).
mr saturday night is a great movie, you should watch it sometime. you know the wizard of oz lost money when it came out too, and the big lebowski same thing, now a cult favorite.
Man...he was what 73 when this was done, and he's in better shape than I'll ever be...WE LOVE YOU JACK!
One Of The Best Actors Ever R.I.P Jack Palance P.S. He Was Great in Western Movies!
He was great in war movies too! Jack really was amazing in everything he did
Jack Palance was such a great actor! I grew up watching him on his show "Ripley's Believe It or Not" every Sunday night on TV.
Jack was as tough as he looked. He also knew how to kid around in a good hearted way. Good thing for Letterman!
Jack Palance always seems amused and happy no matter what happens.
I’m so sad almost all good actors are gone. What happened to the industry. Just not there So few actors left. Real actors.
what a awesome man jack palance love him and his movies
Palance is funny, but he was also totally on point with his retort, 'Are you asking me, or leading me to an answer?' Quite often times, interviewers do the latter, and i would much rather hear the former.
Rest in powerful peace Volodymyr Palahniuk 🙏

You're a weird little man
Even at that age Palance would wipe the floor with Letterman.
Jack Palance, a real gentleman.
Great great actor love his acting and Shane is the best every western movie

❤😂❤ RIP Jack and thanks so much !!!
I've been on a Jack Palance bender for over a week now, From Requiem to City Slickers, I am done. Rest in peace, Jack Palance and leave me alone.
Awesome interview.

Jack is a Legend
My bro meet him at the Airport , Many Years Ago!!
Served his country when it needed him.
Jack's version of "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" is one of the best ever produced. His Jekyll was as bad to the bone.
It can be done amigo, one the best movie ever made,
He was a Great man
WE LOVE YOU Mr. JACK PALANCE... LOS ANGELES...

I wish I was in Buenos Aires too!
Like Mitchum what you see is what you get no crap. Also like Mitchum much smarter and wittier than their screen persona.
Appears so amiable in real life (from the interview), but in reel life as Stark Wilson in the movie Shane, my, what a villain.
"Prove it"!

he was mesmerizing and menacing in Sudden fear opposite Joan Crawford
He was good in Second Chance too with Robert Mitchum 1953
Boy did his career turn around. Have you ever seen Angels Revenge?
I saw it recently while exploring the wide range of Palance films. He was so under-utilised and didnt even save the film from how cringy and poorly written and acted it was
Atila rey de los hunos .me gustó mucho.gran actor

Never realised he was such a FUNNY man 😎
Apparently Jimmy Fallon isn't the only guy who can't refrain from laughing during interviews, he's annnoying
Can’t compare the trash that is Fallon to this professional!!
Didn't he play Dracula once...
Funny stuff!
Me too.
nice...when letterman was not an obvious political hack
Did the Billy Crystal movie ever sell?
+SmittyHeWasNumber1 I think he was referencing Mr. Saturday Night which opened up in the fall of '92 and sadly tanked.
+Matthew Stechel : still, David Paymer was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the film, which greatly pleased Mr. Crystal (who also wrote and directed).

Yo con 70 no puedo😢😮
the poor resolution made jack look like martin sheen 🤣
He looks like Norm Macdonald
Uhh no
10:53 😅
Jack is chewing nicotine gum he gave up smoking ha ha .
*Stonewall Jackson was a coward.*
He tended to strike liberal actors with an excuse such as rehearsal errors.
🇺🇦❤️
Great guy❤
