    So nutritious and full of health benefits. Broken Wheat / Daliya Is considered fibre rich and so is good for weight loss and muscle gain as well. Plus considered good for stomach and gut too. So must add to your regular diet. We have made it richer with lots of veggies.
    Ingredients:
    1/2 tsp + 1 tsp Oil
    1 cup Broken Wheat (Dalia)
    2 cup Water
    Salt as per taste
    1 tsp Ghee (saturated butter)
    1 tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai)
    1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
    2 tbs Peanuts
    Few Curry Leaves
    2 finely chopped Green Chillies
    1 finely chopped small Ginger Knob
    Finely chopped veggies (Onion, Carrot, French Beans) & some Green Peas
    1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
    1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
    1/2 Lemon
    Finely chopped Coriander
    Method:
    Heat 1/2 tsp Oil in a pressure cooker
    Add 1 cup Broken Wheat (Dalia)
    Roast dalia until it slightly changes its color
    Add 2 cup Water
    Add Salt as per taste
    Fix the lid and cook up to 2 whistles
    Further heat another pan
    Add 1 tsp Ghee (saturated butter)
    Add 1 tsp Oil
    Add 1 tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai)
    Add 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
    Let it crackle, then add 2 tbs Peanuts
    Add few Curry Leaves
    Add 2 finely chopped Green Chillies
    Add a finely chopped small Ginger Knob
    Add some finely chopped veggies (Onion, Carrot, French Beans) & some Green Peas
    Add 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
    Add 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
    Add a spoonful of Water
    Cover the lid and cook vegetables until tender
    Add cooked Dalia and mix it well
    Squeeze 1/2 Lemon
    Add some finely chopped Coriander
    Add Salt (if required) and mix it
    Enjoy this Scrumptious Dalia Upma
