This show is a love letter to animation as an art form, i can’t say i expected the anime to be about animation but i’m not complaining, it’s a charming concept that will probably never get a season two much to our chagrin

The dance motions really follow each girl's personality: Kanamori's moves are all super rigid and made with intensity, since she's the realist of the group. Midori is wild and all over the place but in very small amounts, showing off her vivid imagination and curiosity in the world, but also the fact that she's not very sociable. Mizusaki's moves are elegant and stylish, highlighting how she's from the 'upper crust' and her specialty in character movement.
The opening just screams their personality. Like the their hand gestures from the start Kanamori has her fist closed Mizusaki has her a peace sign Midori has her a pinkie and thumb up

I just watched the first episode and I have to say that this show is made for people who absolutely love animation, it’s absolutely beautiful with its hand drawn animation, it looks like it had the budget of a complete film... I think I’m in love 😍😍😍
That explains why I like it. There are so many anime that either go the whole "AHHH! I KILL YOU," "I KILL YOU TOO, AHHH!" route or the whole I'm so serious and this is a serious thing. Something like this anime is just a fun ride where the animation is a huge part of it, and it might finally push me to watch the Future Boy Conan series after this one is done.
This show was such a delight! I loved its pragmatism about the industry and its deep appreciation for the art. The characters were delightfully real and refreshing!
If you haven’t watched this anime, I suggest you do. It has become one of my favorite anime’s. The OST, the animation, the characters, and overall theme is amazing. My only complaint is that we may not get a second season, but other than that please check this out.

Check out yuasa's other shows. Tatami Galaxy, Ping Pong the animation and Devilman crybaby are some of his best and more well known works. If you feel especially trippy try Mind Game or Kaiba.
cicero I don’t know, in terms of characters it feels more like “KillLaKill” to me (but obviously there’s the original manga), and this animation style is not as chaotic or as free as “Devilman” or “Lu over the wall”, it feels more like “Night is Short, Walk on Girl” where the movement is very quirky but still within the boundary.
As a fellow Tripper whenever I see this opening all I can think off is the good times when I took a tab when home alone jamming to anime music seeing colors and just look crazy having a blast man lol

I just watched the first episode and I have to say that this show is made for people who absolutely love animation, it’s absolutely beautiful with its hand drawn animation, it looks like it had the budget of a complete film... I think I’m in love 😍😍😍
That explains why I like it. There are so many anime that either go the whole "AHHH! I KILL YOU," "I KILL YOU TOO, AHHH!" route or the whole I'm so serious and this is a serious thing. Something like this anime is just a fun ride where the animation is a huge part of it, and it might finally push me to watch the Future Boy Conan series after this one is done.

If you haven’t watched this anime, I suggest you do. It has become one of my favorite anime’s. The OST, the animation, the characters, and overall theme is amazing.
My only complaint is that we may not get a second season, but other than that please check this out.

This is everything I ever wanted, I haven’t felt this feeling for quite a while, not since Kill La Kill, REDLINE and Mob Psycho, this is absolutely perfect.
Check out yuasa's other shows. Tatami Galaxy, Ping Pong the animation and Devilman crybaby are some of his best and more well known works.
If you feel especially trippy try Mind Game or Kaiba.

cicero I don’t know, in terms of characters it feels more like “KillLaKill” to me (but obviously there’s the original manga), and this animation style is not as chaotic or as free as “Devilman” or “Lu over the wall”, it feels more like “Night is Short, Walk on Girl” where the movement is very quirky but still within the boundary.
