Love God with all your being ...your mind, body, soul and spirit; and love others as you love yourself. For God so loved the world that whoever believes in him shall not perish.
Thank goodness. For too long the West has become so obsessed with sin and then of course punishment. It is this very uptake of a collective conscious of centuries that we have wars, that we can say oh they are sinful so we must punish them. This thought process is so integrated in human psyche. I find it utterly heart breaking because all of the damage, the hatred, the bigotry and the fear in the world comes from this paradigm of sin.
I have been following John Philip for almost 2 years...this has been the most blessed and much needed interview i have ever seen ..... Thank you so much and am so glad to have found you....Well done Sir❤❤❤

The Nicaean Creed says that the uncreated God was born to a human mother and became a man. That assumes the Earth and man are ultimately sacred. That's at least what I got out of it after one reading.
Taking this quote from Pelagius, “Everywhere narrow shafts of divine light pierce the veil that separates heaven from earth…The presence of God’s spirit in all living things is what makes them beautiful; and if we look with God’s eyes, nothing is ugly.” - Nothing is ugly? Jesus wept when he saw the suffering in this world (a world that was separated from God when man decided that God was not enough and ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil). It is blasphemous to say that God is in everything and nothing in this world is ugly. God is saddened by the darkness of human choices. He sent Jesus to rebuild our relationship with Him and to inspire us to turn away from sin and walk in the light of Christ. Everything that is of God is beautiful! Everything that is of the world needs to be redeemed and submitted to the cleansing blood of Christ. To be aware of our weakness in sin is to constantly seek God's face in childlike dependence and humility. I think, ultimately, people need to be pointed back to God. As God's creation, we are cherished by God in a way that we, as His children, cannot fully conceive or believe. Our relationship with God is sacred and his creation is sacred (I agree with this); God appointed humanity to be stewards of His creation. We are to be good stewards of our relationship with each other and good stewards of the natural world that surrounds us and nourishes us. Jesus said the two most important commandments are TO LOVE GOD AND OTHERS. Understand that we are to love and serve the LORD God FIRST and all else will flow from our love of God. It is important to note that the LORD deserves ALL that we have and ALL the glory because ONLY his faithful love is perfect and endures forever (Ps. 109). "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:14 We are NOT God and we were never meant to be. We are to acknowledge that we have a sinful nature, we are far from perfect, and are sheep in need of a Shepherd. To be a Christian means to acknowledge that JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. All other spiritual teachings that create idols above the ONE TRUE LIVING GOD AND HIS SON JESUS are false teachings. My point is this: God is deserving of all the glory. We are not to become conceited or prideful, in danger of putting ourselves above God, but we need to acknowledge that only God is perfect and good and that we need Him.
Thanks for listening, Nicole. While we disagree with your particular theological take on things, we appreciate the willingness to challenge yourself by listening to other view points. We do the same thing, regularly. It's a healthy way to do this life. Cheers!
@@mypilgrimage2843 I continue to pray for God's discernment and perfect will above all else, for both you and me. I pray for Christ's spirit to flood your hearts with light and truth. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Hello Nicole. I recognize your particular religious belief structure. I've heard and seen it many times. If you are satisfied with what you believe, and obviously you are, then I wish you peace and blessings along your path. Like Pelagius, I see the creation as nearly bursting with the Sacred Presence. As a result, I've spent a lifetime searching for those individuals who saw, and see, the same Presence in all of creation. Pelagius is certainly one of those, but there are several others. Yes, human beings are infinitely flawed. We are an infantile species. We have such a long way to go. Sadly, religions of all stripes have acted in the most heinous and barbaric manner throughout human history. Professing a belief system means nothing when greed, hatred and arrogance are the guiding principles. Fortunately there are many examples of individuals who saw the radiant beauty in all things, and left a record in writings and poems.
Nicole I pray for you to see the truth of God's love and all things for all creation every person. Nothing should be punished nor judged for they know not what they do we know not what we do. Without love we have nothing. I used to believe exactly as you did but I could no longer do so I would rather be in hell with all of the good people if that was an actual place that I believe existed. There is no original sin only original perfection God saw all things he made and they were good. 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️
