Building a Backyard Balance Beam for my niece

This DIY balance beam is a fast and easy build as long as your tools don't break like mine did. The beam is good for learning because it's wider than a regulation beam. Strong enough for adults but designed for kids. Fits in nearly any backyard. My niece wanted one just to get comfortable being off the ground before moving on to real gymnastics.

She is not Jayefenelon 1930 because unfortunately the uncle used framing lumber not intended for ground contact and also failed to treat it with copper green. So the water in the ground will leach up through the woods grain which are like straws and into the metal fasteners which rust and then shrink causing play and movement which eventually lead to breakage (and a hospital trip). That is if the wood does not rot completely first from being in the ground.
