I agree with Nick on this one. I'm not spending a first round pick on Milroe when they have so many other needs to fill on that offense. They need to get more explosive play makers on offense and spending your first round pick on a QB that probably won't be ready to play next year just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Why ar you acting like the Steelers are just this amazing team. During the 90’s we didn’t win any championships ring or 80’s. Trust the process and stop being spoiled from success in the 70’s and late 2000
@redtrigun No the Steelers didn't win any championships in the 90s but they were damn well competitive and were in one SB and 3 AFCCG and in the 2000s were in multiple AFCCG and 2 SBs and in the process built a reputation and that reputation has been tarnished mainly by imo Mike Tomlin and his mediocrity. Once all the Cowher era players and assistant coaches left clearly there was a difference.
Im my opinion, Fields gives the Steelers the best chance to win. His skill set would benefit the backfield, whoever is there. His passing accuracy has improved. Fields protects the ball well. He is seeing the field better. After coaching changes ????? They draft a OB, unfortunately, a small draft selection at 21? Maybe get a FA? But Im not making the decisions, lol

Excluding ST coordinator Danny Smith and barring that Tomlin doesn't dictate everything that's done on defense and offense this coaching staff has been absolutely pathetic.
Jalen Milroe isn't worth a 2nd round pick. His scouting report is worse than Pickett's and he has small hands like Pickett. Accuracy is all over the place, and he cannot actually read the field to go through progressions.
Do u think Hines ward would be a good wide receivers coach for us & maybe get Joey porter or james Harrison to help coach the defense or what would be awesome Troy Polamalou to help these defense players
If I’m JF’s agent and the plan on drafting a QB in the first round , there’s no way I advise him to sign . I would tell him to hit Free agency and see what’s out there .

Tomlin hasn’t had to develop a QB, he tried once and shit it. Fields is a lottery ticket, yeah for a 2019 drawing. He’s a 5 year veteran who obviously doesn’t have the talent to be anything more than a backup.

He tends to be pretty accurate about most QBs and what they turn into.
He was wrong about Zach Wilson, and Kenny Pickett's classes but they all turned out busts overall except T-Law.

Tomlin has done great with lesser talent. Justin Fields will be the building block on the offense. Im not a fan of Arthur Smith, i dont think his Offense is that good. Look at Mike McCarthy being let go and listen to the replacement Brian Shottenheimer press conference. Mikes offense was stale. Arthur’s offense has always been stale.

I think Milroe will fall into the 3rd round maybe the 4th round. He is a project player. His mechanics are really bad and needs a lot of fine tuning. It’s the reason he has accuracy issues. Jaxson dart would be a better pick.

They are not interested in that qb. He is raw and has really small hands like pickett it would be a disaster to draft milroe. Just wait and trade up in a much better 2026 class
If Steelers listen to this guy---it will be LESS next year than this. RUSSELL WILSON out of the gate next year is STEELERS BEST BET. The REAL need is focus on the RECEIVING CORPS... plugging in defenesive needs---to go with the "Exceptionals" already there... and w look at augmenting the strong rookie offensive line class--with what's available. Russ with better receiving corp will get you father than Fields... in the immediate. PERSONALLY--I'd try to keep BOTH... hae more packages for Fields... with him as the Future... but use him like New Orleans used TAYSOM HILL...

What is everyone's obsession with mobile QBs? They don't work in the NFL. Allen is pass first, maholmes is 100 percent pass first, Purdy is pass first, Daniels is pass first, hurts is pass first, and goff is pass first......why do we want a QB that would be the dollar general version of Lamar Jackson that can't read a defense? If Lamar can't beat Allen or maholmes, why do we think dollar general Lamar (Justin fields) would beat those guys?

Running is fine until you get injured doing so. All QBs should be able to run one way or another. But being smart and throwing the right passes gets you further in the league
@phsteelerfan8523 I'm with ya on that. A passing QB that has mobility is ideal. But you definitely don't have to be Lamar Jackson or Michael Vick. Purdy, goff, Rodgers, maholmes, even prime Russ is what I think is the best build for a QB.
Milroe has small hands and is turnover prone. IDK about him as a good prospect.. he's fast tho...

My man he was a first round, 11th pick in the draft. Shitty teams draft QB’s all the time. He had plenty of opportunities to show that he was capable, regardless of all the factors. He’s never been able to play at an elite level. He’s a good backup for being in his 5th year. Nowhere near a starter. Fields is a bust, just a fact!
