Ive had the a35 for a few months, moving from Apple 13 pro. My opinion overall is that its just fine. The cameras are reliable, radios hold signal very good. The only weird thing is unlock sometimes is wonky. From my experience, id recommend it.
I bought a few days ago galaxy m35 for just about 200$ on sale in poland, which is the same as A35, but without under-display scanner, plastic back instead of glass, and m35 has bigger battery. Switched from my almost 7 yo budget xiaomi with cheap lcd, weak snapdragon 625, low and slow memory emmc. I don't game, so exynos 1380 is enough for me, and it has everything. Using Fine Lock because Good Lock isn't available. And getting 4 OS/5 yo security updates.
My current phone is the Galaxy a30 and the battery still lasts me two days. And I've used these phone for video and photo editing, routes tracking on different mapping apps and finding my way in the snowy backcountry in -15°C. Plus I can't remember how money times I've dropped it and once I flew it across the room against a wall. It's still almost like new after 5 and a half years. That said, will most likely get the a35 next year. I only wish it wasn't so damn expensive in South Korea.
I got a new, unlocked A35 directly from Samsung last week. US version. Had to send in my old A32 as a trade in. Full price, including tax and after trade-in, was $199. So far, so good. I'm not a gamer and don't really care about photos and video.
Not sure what phone you had. Sometimes older budget phones have good battery life because they don't have as much power. But not sure in your situation. Hope it improves
Very good for the purpose of a kid for sure. Thanks so much for the support. Means a ton. It took me doing about five times the videos this month just to get close to what I was at. So we're getting there
Excellent phone! Very satisfied with all aspects of this phone. Found it for $284 --bargain price but nothing bargain about its performance! Great updates!
Nice! I'm using it right now and definitely enjoying it. A step slower than my flagships but not much slower. It's just been really reliable overall. Very balanced. Compared to the Motorola phone I was reviewing, again the speakers are louder, a lot better, the haptic feedback is better, It just feels a little more balanced than a lot of other phones. So sure, you might find one a little faster, but it's a pretty good balance here
@@AndroidDigestspoiler: I care more about case than phone itself, after all that's the thing I clutch all the time. I used without case for few days and it developed scars😅
I'm in England. Got my A35 in 8gb RAM with 356gb storage for £280. It was still in the box from a refurbished shop. Good, but not outstanding spec. No overheating issues. Like the SD card slot. Great screen. It does feel premium.
I love mid range phones and I have an iPhone 14. No it’s not a pro max but idc. I am getting the S24FE. By the way, I have the Motorola 5G stylus 2024 and a Google 7a so idc as you see about top tier range phones.
Watching this from my galaxy a35 5g it's a good phone overall but I noticed that there is a heating problem from time to time especially when you're using it outside
If and when Motorola starts giving their phones more Android updates, I think they'll put the screws to Samsung. The base Galaxy A35 5G with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, priced at $399 is rediculous.
Honestly, I've looked at the A35 because my Pixel 6a is good but I hate that notification dot setup of notifications on Pixel phones. The bad reviews are what hold me back though because many mention the same two big issues: less than stellar performance and massive overheating. With that Exynos processor, it'll probably overheat just doing basic tasks. I'm a fan of Samsung but I kinda think I'd be better off buying an S21 or S22 Plus. The only things the A35 has over those phones is it's brand new and will get more years of updates. Buying an older flagship might be the better option.
Tough call. I definitely don't get any overheating whenever I'm doing basic tasks. In fact, the Pixel 6A, and all pixel devices from the Pixel 6 to the pixel 8, almost all of them had pretty bad reports of overheating too. They are all based on exynos processors. I think the only thing you will notice is just a step, a very small step down, in performance. But it's got great speakers, great battery life, etc. It's still might not be right for you because it's not a significant upgrade over what you have. It's a good upgrade, but not super significant.
@@AndroidDigest even the S22 series have reports of overheating. A little bit of heat is normal if you use your phone constantly and I'm ok with that. But many reviews on the A35 claim it overheats just doing regular, everyday stuff. That would be a big concern of mine. I don't really care about specs too much and while I do enjoy my Pixel 6a, I like the Samsung setup with more accurate notifications and the number count of those notifications more. I might see if there are deals on the A35 on Black Friday or deals for the upper end Samsung phones too. I know Samsung phones also have much better and louder speakers than Pixels too. Thanks for replying
@@subgivtaraThat's in the overseas versions that use an Exynos processor. Here in the United States, both the S21 and S22 series phones use Snapdragon chipsets.

Great Review. Been looking a long time for a New phone that would replace my 6 year old LG Q7+ that has a decent IP Rating and be able to use my carrier. With Future Updates, I'm Game. Curious though, I know the front glass is Gorilla Glass, what is the back glass? I've looked all over online and all that I have found is it's Glass, but it doesn't state if it standard, tempered or Gorilla. Either way it ends up being, I'm getting one next month as I believe this is a pretty solid budget phone.
Is this better than a Moto power 5g, dads phone is 4 or 5 years old and needs a new one. Up to $300 is doable but we cant go higher. Will this be better?
Pretty solid! Not the best but not the worst. Good battery life, not great. It's got a good battery size, processor is decently efficient but not quite as efficient as some newer chips. I'm using the a35 as I type this though. Still enjoying it
I think the Pixel 7a will feel just a tad faster. Pictures may turn out better by 10% but the better all around phone is the A35. That's my opinion. Better updates. Better battery life. The 120hz amoled screen is a little better. That's my take
I'm sure I'm still being affected by it to an extent. I've literally done five times the videos, I have almost 150,000 more views, and I'm still estimated to make $300 less than I was before. So I made a lot of the money back just by making five times the videos. But it's still affecting me in some way. Hopefully it gets better
If I may make a suggestion, I think you should make an attempt to review the 8GB RAM versions of every phone. The 4gb ram version of the Samsung Galaxy A15 and the 8gb ram version aren't even the same device performance wise. The 8gb ram version of the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G is $200 on Amazon, and I think it's a budget option which would do much better for budget conscious shoppers than the 4gb version. Just a thought.
I do agree with you BUT if you go to Samsung's website in the US, there is no 8 gigabyte of RAM version. If you go to Best buy's website, there is no 8 gigabyte of RAM version that I know of. I believe you're referring to an international model. I'm in the US, and I typically only review things that would get a full warranty here. Though I will start dabbling in some international stuff at some point
@AndroidDigest What I am trying to do is make it so the actual number/letter buttons themselves on the lock screen do not light up when pressing them when entering my pin/password. Do you know how to do that?
That's a really really solid idea. The a35 is a really nice jump up compare it to the a14. And sometimes you can get the A35 around 300 bucks. It may be a good temporary measure if you're having to save up for even a $600 phone. But you want something right away
I got one. This is day one and it's shit. The reception is half of the A23 which was poor. I've been sold another chap Samsung. Don't like apple because of privacy breech. This is definitely my last Samsung. This one will meet my hammer soon methinks.

Im on the first category who uses the phone mostly for streaming and use it as an mp3 but better lol. Im not much into social media or doing puctures. So for me an A54 or 55 is perfect.
I'm not going to lie. I've met Wade (TechDaily) and like Wade a lot. I like a lot of his content too. I don't really agree with him when he says "why are they making this phone". "Why make an a35 when it's similar to the a54". I don't think he said that but sometimes I hear stuff like it. Personally I really like having more options. But also like Wade as a person and sometimes his content can be very helpful to me
