Im not a young mom anymore but you guys are so sweet, you reminded me of my years as a young mom. I'm old now and things still happen that one doesn't like but you've reminded me that I'm in the right place . I love watching you and resonate so much with this - letting go, being at peace with things not being "done." Hope you are all doing well!
Watching both of you and your beautiful family over the last several weeks and it's so beautiful to see the face of Jesus in your eyes and words and in the laughter of your children. God bless all of you. Please pray for me and my broken heart, my dreams and hopes of a God centred married life ended couple of years ago and I am still hurting so much; leaning on Him and His healing hands. I feel like if both of you intercede for me, it will help.
I was surprised ‘cause I’m sharing with the Bulmans the lack of sleep… That counting out Easter’s Vigil!!! (all night) It’s amazing how the Lord is working WITH you, so His light shines on us FROM you.

I think Christians need to focus more on prayers and devotion and avoiding accepting universal concepts of people who are not saints nor relates to Biblical figures.
I immediately thought of Mary and Martha and how we all act like Martha and want to be more like Mary. I just love listening and watching! I love to see the love and admiration you show each other when the other is speaking. So powerful! May God continue to bless you and your family. Thank you also to the Word on Fire Institute. Who knew we would be learning so much from such a young couple.
I laughed because I was doing laundry and cleaning up the kitchen while listening! I need to get better at leisure. :)
IKEA book case is a good idea tho, that's what we did.

Hi, New mother going without sleep and my son is 3 months old. Did you sleep train your babies? He will only sleep on me.
Oh my goodness!! Congratulations!! What a wonderful and sleepless time for you!
We did not sleep train persay. There is a book called “Baby Wise” that helped me get through that time with our first baby. There’s some sleep training tips in there too.
But more than all that, you’re doing a good job, momma! Lack of sleep can diminish that truth, but you’re supposed to be that baby’s mama. May you discern well what works best for you and for the baby so you can both get the sleep you need and deserve. Thanks for hanging with us!
Thank you for your reply. I will look up the book. I am concerned that I will never sleep again . It is interesting to watch how you have energy for all of your children and I am drained and exhausted with one.
Aw Deborah. You are so kind. It does get better. These first few days of motherhood are hard, lonely, and sleep depriving! It doesn’t feel like it right now but you will sleep again one day. I will pray for that to happen sooner rather than later. And if you want to reach out, you’re welcome to email me or reach out on other social media platforms. But know that I have been there! This “energy” is probably from my 4th or 5th wind. Lol
Hi, Deborah! We had our fifth baby last May and he hasn't slept more than a four hour stretch since October, and also only wants to sleep on a human, so I feel you! I think it's really natural for babies to want to be close to their mothers and fathers in the first few months. We did this with all of our kids and they all slept on their own eventually (all of them by the time they were 2, and our oldest is 15 now). I know it sounds cliche, but it really goes by so fast. It's easier to realize after you've been through it. I'll be praying for you.
