Banishers is set in New Eden, a fictional version of 17th-century America, where a curse has unleashed a horde of supernatural creatures that haunt the living. You play as Red and Antea, a couple of Banishers, expert ghost hunters who can perform rituals to send the spirits to the afterlife. But things get complicated when Antea is killed and becomes a ghost herself, leaving you with a tough choice: will you honor your oath and ascend her soul, or will you betray the living and try to bring her back?
Your decisions will have dramatic consequences for the fate of New Eden and its inhabitants, both living and dead. You will meet memorable characters, explore diverse landscapes, and unravel chilling mysteries as you hunt down ghosts and specters. You will also face moral dilemmas that test your loyalty, courage, and love.
Banishers' dynamic combat system lets you switch between Red and Antea and combine their abilities to defeat the undead. Red uses physical weapons, such as swords, axes, and pistols, while Antea uses spiritual powers, such as telekinesis, possession, and invisibility. You can customize your characters with different skills, outfits, and equipment to suit your playstyle.
