I too thought this event was real and not staged, but then I saw that Hollywood decided to make a movie about it so that basically is an admission of it being a hoax. Here is why they did it....from the movie " Sully, you're responsible for finally having something good happen in New York that involves planes". Wow, just wow, trust me, landing a plane is not that difficult to a pilot. I'm a pilot and landing is just an everyday thing. Landing in water is no different. And to say the Sully was in the Air Force? Does that make every military person evil?
So they submerged the plane months ago and resurfaced it for this proposed psyop?? And i assume they did this just when?? And if they did sink the plane months ago it would have been in warmer weather and there would be lots of boats on the Hudson river. Don't forget this happened on an extremely cold day in nyc. Not many people would have been outdoors. Check the forcast that day.

Assuming that your right, and landing a plane is hard (which its not), thats the reason why airlines recruit experienced pilots who worked for air forces globally! Your argument about no one having landed a plane on water also falls down when you look at a SEAplane. The only difference is that the seaplane has to stay afloat and take off again afterwards! Just over a 100 years ago, no one had ever landed a plane, sea or land. Full stop.
