Even the "I think you've played with my guinea pig long enough" is symbolic. he says he wants to get to know her but she knows there can be no physical intimacy so she does not want to open up emotionally. It is almost as if she wanted to say "with my heart/feelings" instead of "with my guinea pig". What a masterpiece. I like your reactions, you seem to be a very nice guy :)

The Priest is a very troubled man who would fall apart without the routines of the priesthood. He couldn't risk it. It was too high of a stake. But he helped her get back in contact with the love in her heart. A sad but very beautiful ending.
This series is so memorable because it hurts. It's bittersweet. They can't be together but they both loved each other and that combination is going to make us remember this story for the rest of our damn lives! 😅 Him telling her "It'll pass" is like an arrow to my heart and him saying he loves her too is the shot that finished me off. The show was based on Phoebe Waller-Bridge's one woman show. There was never supposed to be a second season and she's said she won't write any more after this. I hope she doesn't because nothing could top this. Beyond that, the opening episode is one of the best episodes of TV I've ever seen period. And your reaction to their father being dead by was hilarious. And yeah, it's me from discord 🙂
She hasn't completely taken writing another season off of the table. She said in interviews that she might write some more in a decade or two once fleabag( and she, herself) is older. So if anything is to happen it will be in the pretty far future, unfortunately. But yeah, there technically is still hope for more fleabag. It just won't be any time soon.
@@orangemarmalade77 yeah, just saying that the writer has said that there is a POTENTIAL for more to be written in the future... Nothing set in stone but it's definitely a far future plan if it does pan out. We will have to just wait and see...but it might happen maybe.
That ending was so heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time, it's sad but I think it was the perfect way to end. They loved each other but I understand his decision and despite the pain, it helped them both to grow and be in a better place, Fleabag can now move on, knowing that she is capable of love and of having something real. We're going to miss her, but it's good to know that she doesn't need us anymore, that she's going to be okay. Whenever I watch this ending I can't help but laugh and cry at the same time. It's so perfect, I fully understand and respect why Phoebe didn't want to continue this, understanding that no matter how successful something is, you shouldn't drag it out if there's nothing better to tell 👏🏼
When you said was the godmother being nice or not I have seen it been interpreted in different ways , some people think she is being genuine and some people think she is being patronising and I really can see it both ways , I have watched this a number of times and every time I watch it I I feel/see it in a new light
4:00 the oh Claire we thought you couldn’t have them was probably a jab at how long they’ve been married and not pregnant and also a jab at Claire’s weight and how even fleabag in the beginning was making comments how Claire doesn’t eat and will refuse food

@@Madvisionnyeah, he's been with his partner for a while, IIRC.... Or the last time I checked a couple of years ago they were still together so I guess there's a chance they could have broken up by now but last I heard they were still together....but yeah, he's openly gay.
