Sublime. I think this is one of their best recordings. Saw them preforming live around Australian festivals at this time. We were really honoured...🙏🎶🎻

That’s the Clare style in a nutshell; or as my friend and I used to say, for Clare or Galway style playing, it’s all about the “Three R’s” - Repetition, Restraint, and Rock… as in, rocking out with restraint! feeling it out, and knowing “when” to let loose, is especially important in these more subtle “styles” or interpretations. But I suppose the Three Rs really apply to any folk musician from any tradition in the world…

Such talent, the first I heard of them back in the day, sad that Dennis has past away but grateful that his music recordings remain. There'll be less of a gloam these days.

Saw Midnight Court play St. Patrick’s weekend just outside Chicago in the early 2000s I think, can’t really be sure you see I drank quite a bit of Guinness Stout that night. Martin was on fire! His hair was perfect!

Gorgeous, of course, but the tune titles are wrong. The first tune is Rolling in the Barrel and the second is The Morning Dew.

I strongly agree with both your assessment of the performance and and the tune titles
