Ian Boylan Gambling is not as good as it use to be because of the token system. Back in the days of Shenmue 2, you bet with money to win money, now you use money to exchange token to gamble and the exchange token for items to sell for money. This method is way quicker then gambling.

Yeah, they updated the game so the price for each book is expensive. BUT! If you have the disc version just delete the game (not the data) and reinstall without update it. Enjoy.

coc/toutpuissant I realise if you have 1 skill book, then won’t let you sell it in the pawn shop. It won’t even appear on the list to sell. You need 2 or more in your inventory to make it appear on the list to sell.
How many books can you hold in your inventory at once? Because right now, you made about 800$ in 4 minutes with 10 of each books.... With the flower, bird, wind and moon (1500$ bet) you make about 4500$/10 minutes... So i'd wonder which is actually the fastest way to make money between the two techniques... if you can hold up to 99 books, then for sure, this trick is the fastest.
skatblast yeah i just did around 300 to get enough cash with spare to buy the scrolls i needed in the shop. I pretty much make this as my daily in game routine to generate some cash. Since i don’t need money now, 10-20 books a day (in game) is enough for Ryo’s pocket money on food etc

this doesn't work anymore, the books cost twice as much and when you make the exchange, the skill book doesn't show up for sale anymore

My solution was forklift job. It's easy with practice and you can get from 500 up to 800 if you do it perfectly.
Yea they nerfed this method because the devs noticed how easy people were getting money. I've just been using the fortune teller save scum method.

I tested this with 200 of each book and could probably do more if you want to sit there and turn them all in. made around 30k in 20 minutes
