I've seen the musical more than 3 times now, listened the songs so much more time and I still cry my eyes out with this song and Jeanna voice. It's amazing!!
One day I hope my obsession with her will end, but until that day when I listen to this beautiful song I will always get emotional and sad. She was elegant and beautiful yes, but what she did for children, the poor, and the elderly was what set her high above others.
I saw this musical a few days ago on broadway and it deserves to be on Broadway it is beautiful and amazing and I got CHILLS during every song. The cast is phenomenal and the choreography is so energizing. I'm so happy this is on Broadway and I encourage everyone to go see it, no matter how you feel about it. Dont judge it until you actually see it. You will be blown away just like I was!! 💙

The show seems like it could be just a _little_ cheesy, and I'm not invested in the Royal Family by any means, but I'm definitely looking forward to hearing more of it :D I want to hear this song in its proper context. De Waal has such a lovely voice, and I want to hear more ^_^

Wasn’t over the moon about this as a musical. Massive Diana fan. But this looks a lot better than I thought it would be. If anyone could be Diana in a musical Jeanna de Waal can. Looking forward to the Netflix showing. This could be pretty entertaining.

I’m adding this song to my daughter’s 3rd grade Google slides school project on her biography about Princess Diana. Best wishes for all success to this actress and the musical. Can’t wait to see on Netflix and in person. We all miss live Broadway... I remember seeing saliva flying when the actors go into their majestic performances!! The way David Bryan wrote it, each main character has a different style of music. Diana was 80s pop, I think the queen is snare drums, Charles is strings and Camilla is lite FM, etc.

@@TheCoastermann That's the thing about subjective tastes, people aren't sheep that are obligated to only enjoy what's deemed quality by critics' metrics. And it could largely also have to do with it not finding an audience due to the subject matter, with a lot of the complaints I see surrounding people finding the subject matter in poor taste for people, and also perhaps more importantly, many Americans in 2022 simply don't know or care much about Diana. Many only know her as some British royal who died decades ago if at all. Seeing a musical is an expensive commitment and much of the audience either doesn't care enough, or care too much and are offended at inaccuracies. I can't see many people in America willing to go to a musical about Diana, but it doesn't necessarily imply the performances were worse than much better performing musicals. I certainly would never have watched it as a musical beforehand, and only stumbled upon it because it was a musical on Netflix, but my family was pleasantly surprised and it made us care about her story.

This is the strongest song in the musical and was shocking how it ends abruptly which drove the emotion really hard.

I certainly would never have watched it as a musical beforehand, and only stumbled upon it because it was a musical on Netflix, but my family was pleasantly surprised and it made us care about her story.
