Watching vids of these mark III's to be inspired to restore a red on black on black Conti. Usually a Cadillac gal but the Conti fell into my lap recently and, after finally sitting in it, i quite like it. Its a comfortable place to be, quite inviting. You could say it speaks to me. Debating some custom work, as there's a fair amount of rust and the upholstery could do with replacement....so could go Superfly. We shall see, i like a good project. Thanks for sharing
This was an ultimate luxury car in its days, it should be whisper quiet and not rumble like an offshore powerboat ! Wrong mufflers ( and tires ) for this car.
I’m glad I’m not the only one offended by white lettered tires on a 60s luxury car. It just kills the look all wrong! And I agree too Continentals should be seen not HEARD! They were designed to be whisper quiet
Raised white letter tires, really??? That's just wrong!!! This car needs whitewalls!!! The exhaust is horrible too!!! This Continental should be quiet. You got to wonder what someone was thinking!!! Sadly, this car is really rough!!! ☹️
Put normal whitewall tires on it. For some odd reason I've seen other Mark IIIs with white letter tires and it looks.. ... ya know... stupid. Oh yeah, the exhaust pipe chrome extensions need to go too. WTF
So really, you haven't bothered fixing anything on this car when you took in. So much is broken. You haven't even bothered priming the air conditioning. And why is it riding so low on the back?
Your absolutely right. These cars suppose to have 2 resonators and 2 mufflers. This is what keeps them quiet.
Pretty car! You guys might want to change out those raised white letter tires though. Just the wrong look.
Agree. Should have whitewalls.
Beautiful Lincoln..! Thank You 🇺🇸🤝🇬🇧😀👍

Raised letter tires on a Lincoln MK 3, WRONG!

It would look better with whitewalls!
They always do! But gotta admit the raised white lettering looks good on here too.

The steering wheel tells us it’s a rare first series 1968 Mark III… sold as a 69 model.
Early build ‘69 with center monogram in rear seat. Feb - April ‘68 build date. HP is 425 for these very early builds.

Also black wall tires. How embarrassing
What’s with the chrome exhaust extensions? Get rid of those
Those tires have GOT TO GO! They scream TRAILOR PARK TRASH! Otherwise, a stunning Mark III! If it was white, I'd buy it

68 thru 71s are the very best of the Mark Series period !!!!!!! Frank Cannon would be Proud
His show ran between 1971 and '76, and he had a 1972 Mark IV!
@@davidallen5776 yes he also drove a mark 3 early in the Cannon series
Gorgous Continental. You won't find the "Lincoln"badge on the Continentals because They are referred to as the "Continental "
Is it hard to find replacement part for this car? Here in DK they have one for sale!

Yeah, turn those tires letters in and change the paint. And maybe just get rid of the vinyl top.
as you get older you will like the color and top. its a thing like aged fine wine
Beautiful car I don’t really care for the color or the vinyl top

Why would anyone even think to put raised white letter ties on a Lincoln?
Ruins the looks of such a classic car!
