Intel 12 gen is better as compare to 13 gen and 14 gen intel processors for price and performance.
Majority of pc community people like to spend only that much which justifies the price with performance.
If performance matters because you used it to earn from the machine which makes sense.
Otherwise, waste of money, pay more and get less.

AMD kinda fucked up this launch. Not only is the 8700F similar price or sometimes more expensive than the 12700F, it often performs worse than it. Not to mention that the power draw is like barely 10W-20W less than the 12700F, while it performs worse, so its not exactly the most power efficient either. Plus, the 12700F has some nice multi-core performance.
The funny thing about 8700f is cost same or little more than r7 7700 non x and performs worst than r7 7700.Well it's safe to say no need to buy 8000 series CPUs bcz 7000 are good enough if not perfect.
I feel like if you're gonna get a 12700f, spend about $20 less right now and get a 12700kf. I've got a 12700k and it's quite fast. For 1440p gaming it's perfect
@@greatexpectation6456 The 8000g series isn't actual 8000 in architecture it's just a 7000 with an igpu better than 7000. So the 8700g or f should be the actual r7 7700 while the X might just be the R7 7700XT

12700f is actually cheaper than 8700f in my country.
After the 7500f I expected a little more from the 8700f, this seems pretty bad, even where the 12700f consumed around 100w the 8700f was around 80w which looks pretty bad honestly. Depending on the country an extra of 10 to 20 $/€ should get you a 7700x which looks a much better option than both.

@@Iconic11111 The 7600 seems to be better nearly all of the times against a 12700 on games where core count doesn't matter (so not cpu bound heavy games, like strategy games or where the cpu has to handle a lot of processes), so since that would mean that the 7600/x would be better than the 8700f itself, the 8400f should be 100% worse than a 7600. Obviously you should wait for in-depth analysis from bigger testers.

@@Cool-kk2vl I'm pretty sure you're confusing the F series for the G series. The F series are meant to be more "low-profile" but not THAT low-profile, the 7500f was a good buy, unlike the 8700f.

This reminds me of the 4000 series of processers which were far worse then the 3000 and it shows here too. The 12700 is cheap it's almost 200 and the 8700f Is over 300 it's no competitor
but why did AMD make this processor? Won't this make people confused? isn't the naming of the 8000 series desktop for Zen 5?
In spain the i7 12700KF costs 256€ while the Ryzen 7 8700F cost 350€. Almost 100€ more expensive for less perfomance 😂

The chip itself is fine since it's a 8700g with problematic igpu so they disable it. And remember every time AMD releases a G series chip the numbering doesn't really matter like 3000g series aren't actually ryzen 3000 but ryzen 2000 in terms of chip architecture. So the r7 8700g is might be the real 7700. The price is probably to trick anyone dumb enough to think this is Ryzen 8000 architecture wise, they're both Zen 4 not Zen 4+. Amd should fix the price for this

14400F wins in most titles, by an average of 15%, while consuming 10W more power, and being 30$ more expensive. Not to mention it is also a lot better in workloads. Plus, you can get a 13400F for 20$ cheaper than the 14400F, while giving the exact same performance.
If you ask me, I'm taking Intel on this one.

It ain't an actual 8000. R 8000g are less cpu power focused r 7000, but an igpu focused R 7000 in actuality . 8000f are defective 8000g in igpu , they disabled it and sell it to avoid silicon waste. Problem is they wanna trick dumb buyers to think this 8000 ryzen but no, it's still Zen 4 not Zen 4+

@@Monster2game This happened twice there's a small ai marketing with Ryzen 4000 , badly priced , bad cpu because it's pcie3. The only good thing there is the 4000G which is cheaper than 5000g. Ryzen 2000 is the only even numbered generation that is actually good everything after is a refresh/recycled defective Odd numbered cpu turned to a new Even numbered gen cpu , which tricks people into thinking it's a new gen.

Benchmarks show the 8700F losing to a 13600/12700F in a lot of cases.
Even a 8400F loses to a 14400F or even a 7500F. Considering how high the prices are for these products, safe to say the 8000F series is garbage.

@@greatexpectation6456 In the US market r7 7700 costed more. This 8700g turned to 8700f is the actual r7 7700. While the r7 7700x should be the XT version like 3000XT cpus. Nothing changed in architecture just a gpu focus 7000 series but with lesser cpu power to accommodate that igpu boost
