Buying randomly is waste of money, you won’t even open them) 3) You don’t need full dissection kit- need scalpel, tooth and non tooth forceps, one long scissor, that’s it. Few gloves. (Most colleges demonstrate already dissected specimen with little hands on in curriculum but with initiative a student must dissect even if it is a few times as possible) 4) Might want a stethoscope (microtone)…. But you will barely use it in 1st year…. Yet get it, you will need it later so getting now will make you feel more doctor and it is a necessary mindset. 5) Must have a bone set….. as it helps a lot to visualise and clear concepts. Get a model from Amazon at 9000 but get one 6) Tablet or iPad is completely optional….. you might need in 2nd year onwards when you know how to study in MBBS but in 1st year it will waste a lot of time. Ready physical books at its place. Buy a baseline iPad if you can…. As the ios ecosystem is very clean and the iPad will last a lot more than an android tablet, but here you can choose.
Just wait 1 to 2 yrs and watch it go crazy I am using ipad 9th gen since 2021 and it will get updates till 2027 in the price of 28k its more value for money !

with iPad you don’t really need physical books. In hostel life, physical books are burdensome to some extent. So logically iPad is enough. But again, you study medicine without books is looked down upon. I won’t suggest you to buy books with iPad, but if you ever feel the need, always buy the gold standard books only, smaller objective exam oriented books always on iPad. Eg. in 2nd year, you will fell the need to buy Robbins, but it depends.

the thing is, there are certain study material apps that arent accessible on laptops, so for that you would need a tablet..baaki for pdf and video lectures from yt.. laptop would suffice
