Nah of this song had a beat down it just wouldn't be the same song in my opinion.. The solo just fucking put icing on the cake. I know it's kinda the same riff the whole time but CMON now this is just one of the best openers to an album. When my friend showed this to me, we had a car full of people and they were saying "just wait bro" and when that riff kicked in I swear we had a mosh pit in the car going 50 on the highway. Love these guys.

This is hardcore? Hah! Its not bad, but far from hardcore in my opinion. Backtrack just uses the same bland, boring guitar riff through the entire song. I'm a guitarist, and I feel like they could definitely incorporate some scales or something to spice this up.
People like simple man. It's typical for bands to use the same riffs throughout a song. Usually one song revolves around one riff (the chorus riff). It's weird. I write music like that though because it makes sense.
This is pretty typical of bands of this style and reminiscent of old school hardcore bands. People would start criticizing them for being "metalcore" or whatever if they got too intriquite
