Dear Jeewon - Thanks so much for adding your wonderful performance of Scriabin’s Op. 9 No. 2 to the shortlist of performances of this great piece of piano music available on RUclips. I am a poet who keeps a poetry channel but also an amateur classical pianist, and I sometimes post my performances on RUclips. I recorded Op. 9 No. 2 during COVID, sometime in spring 2021. It’s played on an electric piano. My cadenza isn’t nearly as good as yours! Your voicings are great. So difficult to bring out polyphony on a single hand! Best, Gilchrist Haas. ruclips.net/video/KY72xExWVMs/видео.htmlsi=pxJES3sX9JHacWMo
Dear Gilchrist, Thank you so much 😊 I followed your link and listen to your nocturne. I think you are consistently lingering bit too long on the melodic notes (it’s much better than letting them be too short of course) but overall, it’s lovely! I will be posting a video on voicing so stay tuned😀
@@JeewonLeepiano Thanks for the melody suggestion! I’ll take it into account when I revive the piece for recording on my new digital…have upgraded from a basic Roland to a high-end one, which allows for excellent internal audio recording, in contrast with my basic iPhone external audio capabilities.
Op. 9/2 is a great piece that I only discovered when I was binging on Scriabin during COVID. I love Scriabin’s sonatas but am generally indifferent to his preludes and other short pieces. Op. 9/2 is one of the real gems, and it’s probably my favorite piece written for the left-hand, or tied for favorite with the Ravel concerto.
Amazing performance. Hard to believe it’s just the left hand; I wouldn’t have known if it was only audio. Love the clear melodic lines. Beautiful!
You've inspired me to learn this next! Just finished a home recital and it's time for new repertoire...
The best outcome I could wish for!
Applaudissements from Casablanca! Very romantic.
Merci Beaucoup! Amusez-vous bien à Casablanca!
I love this piece! My 92 year old great aunt has a 100 year old copy of this sheet music and she has asked me to learn it for her
Oh my! That’s special. Voicing is tricky. I will be posting a video about voicing soon. Please stay tuned!
@@JeewonLeepiano I will :) Thank you!
A little struggle is just what is required! Greetings from Finland where Izumi Tateno's version is very familiar of cource.
