I am very thankful for your video. I have the Flow Snaps on my Alpine Trail 7 and just noticed today that I have the same cracks running along the sidewall of my front tire. What a shame, indeed.
Edit: I should also note I got this bike brand new just a few months ago and it's the 2023 model so I assume these tires weren't just sitting around for years in poor conditions before getting mounted. 95% of riding has been on sandy hard pack and/or pavement since I got it.

i recently became aware of the Attack HPL - i have used Vee brand tires on my kid's bike, but they were tubed wire-bead type, and i really didnt pay much mind to them - but after watching some unbiased reviews about the Attack, it sounds like they may be the king of the hill for mixed terrain.
if i didnt just get a new WTB Verdict on my freerider, i'd prolly slap an HPL on the front (next time) ~
perhaps i'll go with Attack HPL on front, Trail Boss out back on my next set. that's the hardpack dream set, right there~

I’ve tried many tyres out over the years and I’d recommend Maxxis… Assegai Front for grip and a DHR 2 on the rear for braking and fast rolling. Done a video on this if interested more.

My Vee Tire Co Rails, had the same crack after 476km rear tire only and where the cracks are located, they bulged and rubbed the rear mud guard inner side. I always maintained my tire pressure, so I think it's something related to manufacturing. @TimFromWales

I was riding Maxxis high roller 2's for a few years & loved them for my riding & were I was riding. Then over 3 weekends I ripped the side wall out of 3 new tyres on the same trail in the same place? So being fed up after the 3rd time I tried the Micheline wild enduro & put a nuke proof tyre insert in the rear & after a few weeks of messing around with the p.s.i & what to expect out of the tyre I found it to be better than the Maxxis tyres. Now all 3 of my bikes are on the Michelin wild enduro as I know what I get with them.

This is a common theme I think. Generally tyres work fine, but have a problem with one (or 3) and there’s so many other options to chose from, you’d be stupid not to try something else.

Mine developed the same thing. Same tyres (27.5) Rift zone 2, 2021. Not even 1000 miles on them... Front tyre, both sides, rear tyre still ok. Can't really thing of any reason why....

Hi i have the same problem is this still safe(assuming I'm just riding like a noob on trails and using my bike for daily errands on road.) or do I really need to replace mine.
Currently don't have the budget to get a new one..
