The little nugget well made up for the elusive groats! The coins and snake buckle were beautiful and the landscape out there is amazing. I love imagining the history of those areas, the activity and people where now you're out at 'nearly nowhere' !
@@TheCoffeeBushKid Hi Andrew I haven’t been that well but on the mend from some open surgery in late September - I should be out hunting very soon - big thanks to you and your wife putting up videos it really helps knowing there are great finds to discover in melb and regional vic
That’s sad to hear but I hope you have a full recovery so you can be better than you were before. Better, stronger, fast I guess I’m showing my age. Sorry Steve 🤣. Hope all goes well. I like and appreciate your comments 😁👍
Thanks Terry. Glad you are enjoying them. That nugget is a bit bigger than I usually find. Found some other good bits and pieces too. Hope you are well mate. Stay safe cobber 🦘🦘😁👍
Howdy Andrew, Nice to see some spring flowers. Here the flowers are finished, the leaves are falling fast and I have to put on my jacket when I go out detecting. Soon it'll be a parka, a wool cap and I'll even have to put on gloves to dig. Then the ground will freeze solid and I'll have to put my detector away for a few months. I sure am glad I'll have you and Dirt Fish Mish to watch. Thanks for another great video. A bit of everything from trash to treasure. Thanks for the music Viv, I thought he'd never get that keg tap out of the ground. Stay safe and happy, buddy.
Hahaha. Viv says she appreciates being appreciated. It did take a little while. Putting your detector away for a few months!!!!! I would go mad. I take it your doctors bills are high in that time with weekly trips to him to get your detecting gland anaesthetised. Glad you like watching the both of us. I do look forward to talking to you each week. Always good for a laugh. Need that in these times. Hope you and Mrs Roelf are well. Best you get out swinging mate before the doctors appointment 🤣🦘🦘😁👍
Andrew your finds are always amazing, super cool , You are an M.D. ! for sure Master detectorist ! ..but I suspect you spent many a year panning before,... you are also a Gold magnet ! Thanks for another great video., All the best Harry
Amazing finds Andrew! It’d be an amazing feeling uncovering that gold in the pan and the dirt. I remember running around looking for chocolate lilies all the time as a kid. Good luck out there
Hi Deb. I’m responding to your latest comment hear because RUclips won’t let me answer it there. Thanks for watching. Glad you learnt some new lingo. Viv is having fun with the running commentary. Happy that you are enjoying the show. Stay safe mate 😁👍
Oh my goodness I do believe you found every medal that there is. I don't know what the Chinese coins are made from? I know in the title you said silver, gold, and copper. I think you found every metal, platinum. I'd say that's a a good week(s) work. I have to say that's the 2nd biggest biggest nugget I have ever seen. Congratulations!!!!
Pulled out some beauty’s there 👍🏼 those keg taps are pretty cool, I’d love to find a unbroken one someday 😄 nice drop of gold too 😁 you might start another gold rush 😂😂
Thanks William. There were some good finds. I don’t need to start a rush. There were so many detectorist out in the bush last weekend that I had trouble finding a park 🤣. Take care mate 😁👍
Those lilies smell like chocolate?!? Well I'll be. I've passed them many times, you can bet I'll be testing that claim next time too. Mixing it up a bit in this one, mate - I liked seeing the prospecting at the end and that nugget was a ripper! I'll be over near where a feast was once held in a caravan in the coming days, not sure if I'll get to revisit the sand, but there'll be good options to work on my land hunting skills. 😉 Catch you next time mate.
Black beef and I went for a walk in the bush a couple of days ago and I told him the same thing. Quick as a flash he was bent over like a pocket knife and was amazed at how chocolatey it smelled. So, near where photos of black coffees are taken🤣. Hope you do well. I might go over to our beach with a vanquish to take it for a run. Catch you when I do😁👍
@@TheCoffeeBushKid the very place, as you know, I’ve got some familial territory in the region. Plenty of choice there. That vanquish is gonna come up with some beauties, I know it. 😉
I still prefer the Chinese coin over the nugget, because I haven't found one yet 😁, But seriously mate great little slug Don't see too many now days just little flakes in the gold pan , Take care Andrew ATB Jim 👍🍻🇦🇺
Thanks Jim. My biggest nugget in a pan was 3/8”x14”x1/8”. Total disbelief at what I was looking at would be a way of describing the situation. You take care too and get out there😁👍👍
Hi there young fella,, just wondering could you possibly do a video with the Nox 800 in the gold mode.. would like to see how it goes and if you find any good with it.. and maybe some tips if you already have done so.. thanks love the vids and keep up the good work… 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Gday Derek. I haven’t run it in the gold mode more than a handful of times. Sorry to disappoint you. I will though keep it in mind and maybe have ago but that would be way in the future. Thanks for watching and I am glad you are enjoying the videos. Stay safe mate 😁👍
Funny you should say Tony…. No just joking. All the equinox gold was with the 11”. I will though give it a go in the future. Thanks for watching mate. Hope you are well. Stay safe cobber 😁👍
Would love to see you finding some gold with the mighty Equinox 800 and the 6 inch coil... Awesome video and I look forward to your next one. Could you show us your swing speed/technique with the 6 inch coil?, I sometimes find it hard to detect carefully with my 6 inch coil and get impatient and want to speed up in large areas. ...what do you do?
Gday Ian. I have a video with my finding gold with the 6” coil. I think it has a quartz specimen as the thumb nail. NOW, I probably swing fastish till I hit a target then slow right down. If you are in a trashy area, swing slower. If you want to be thorough in an area with lots of targets, only move your body as far as you want the coil to advance. Ie, don’t take a full step, just shuffle along. As for large area, get four stones or sticks and mark out an area that is 3 metres by 3 metres. That now is the full focus of your vision. Nothing else exists outside those markets. Swing slow, shuffle and see what you get. Don’t do any of this if you haven’t got a target. Yes you will be thorough but it’s a waste of time unless you are on something. It is all about mind set. When it gets too much, stop and have a break. Hope that helps. All the best mate 🦘🦘😁👍
