Thanks for building this out online…I’m moving into a neighborhood and need an easy build. I’m not skilled at building but you’ve made me believe I’ve got this.
This really is a Great project! Doing everything yourselves, with repurposed supplies, Mama Kirbs running the camera, a Hawk surveyor, a kitty Cat forman, I mean what more can we ask for. The coop is really coming together, it looks fabulous. Projects and Journeys like this one can help so others to envision their dreams of expansion, growth, confidence, how to's, re-purposing a little bit easier, and not breaking the bank. I feel I can even do it. Thanks for that! Great journey we are on. Can't wait for the next installation on the coop. . . .As always . . . Be Kind, Be Light, Be Love to one another, Help, Hear, Listen and Enjoy each other! . . . .Just Be! Love you guys!
Love, love, love this project. Soooo super helpful. Getting ready for some big projects and this is excellent info for our family. Thank you for taking us along. God Bless ~Lisa
The chicken house build project is coming along fantastic for the Mrs...That saw makes cutting the wood a snap...Good workmanship and camera lady action going On!😊👌👍
We used pallets and scapes and reusing old metal roofing. We have a neighbor who salvaged stuff so was able to get metal nesting boxes for about a third the price of new my grape vines are on recycled metal porch railings. I have an old metal arbor that my wisteria is going to grow over that I found at a garage sale. I enjoy repurposing stuff to make things nice.
I love these 30-day videos! "Tubafors" sounds like home to me, so I like it much better than perfect enunciation. I love the metal wainscoting on the wire walls; with I'd thought of that. Maybe I can retrofit them in my aviary. Is it too late to suggest a door wide enough that the tractor can go into for that chicken coop? It's not that big a deal for a chicken coop, but may be handy for a duck or pig house. You could drive feed & straw\hay in and bedding out with a tractor. I use deep litter in the animal shelters to warm the place in the winter (both in Austin and now in the PNW); having tractor access to clean it out in the spring makes life so much easier. At the very least, having a door wide enough for your biggest wheelbarrow helps. Animal shelters have become my mulch and compost factories: poopy deep litter makes excellent compost and mulch for the gardens - I didn't bother with aging the newest layers of hot bird poop, but put the bedding directly on my gardens - nothing ever burned up.
yep, too late for the tractor. LOL However, the coop is so small I wouldn't have taken it in there anyway. I'm not sure if I'm going with deep litter or sand for bedding. The challenge with deep litter... for me, by experience... mites. It seemed that they loved to live in the litter. We had mites in one coop and didn't get rid of them until the litter was completely removed. I love the idea of it.
That's awesome looks like it's getting really solid 👍 I've been collecting free building materials from a couple factories and friends over the last couple months to build a chicken coop my goal is to build it for free except for screws LOL
@@daddykirbs definitely man I will probably film it as I make it! I was thinking about starting the frame last week but then last couple of days we just got like three inches of snow LOL
Did anyone elses heart melt at Annies chattering towarda mama kirbbs

Haha, jam packed full of goodness.
I can’t explain why, but these videos relax me.
I'm so glad it has a positive effect on you :)
Watching someone else do all the hard work ;)
incrementally different.... love it.
You two work very well together. I love how you plan and listen to each other. That silky coop is framing up solid.
All of my best work is because of Mamakirbs :)
Between you two and Doug and Stacy, I’ve delved into making my own raised garden beds. Very slow going, but going. 😉

@@daddykirbs What works one place doesn't always work everywhere. :)
SKILLS! I couldn't even build a 6 foot fence. This is amazing!
ah it's nothin'
@@daddykirbs RIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHHHTTTTT... Skills! Mad Skills!
Turning into a nice chicken coop!
Great idea, Blake. Use the same piece as a template, just like you would to Xerox something. Consistency and clear copies.
Exactly! Each "generation" of a copy is off by some degree.

Yes, the screws, the wire, and a little bit of other hardware will be my only costs on this project. I would like to see your project when finished :)

That snow will change your plans!
Looking good
Thank you Kate! It's a fun project.
Love video thanks for continuing it with rain going on your awesome number☝️☝️😁😁

@@daddykirbs I don't understand is it like another language? Its cool
Also is it he hawk that you saved?
I like to think it was the hawk that I saved, but of course I cannot really tell.
Sorry I was late daddykirbs but I love the video(I was doing some of my own videos)(its snowing )
Better late than never! Keep sharing your passion.
That's going to be nice when it's finished, if it ever stops raining. 😉
I'll just have to put the camera away and work in the rain :)
🙏❤️🙏
Also is it scary using a saw as big as the one you used?
No, I have no fear of the big saw. I just keep my fingers out of the way LOL

I did it myself with the Woodglut plans. I think this is the best way to find out how to build it.
