The drummer actually is very famous in the metalcore scene, he did the drums for I See Stars in the Treehouse album, his name is Luke Holland, he's an amazing drummer
Hounds is such an underrated song in the metal(core) community. That album is top tier song writing and hounds has technicality, catchiness, pace, brutality and transitional class. Just incredible. Deceiver is TOP SHELF
I'd never heard of this band and then they came and played at my university and I was stunned at A) how good the songs were, and B) how amazing his vocals were live. I immediately went home and bought the Life Cycles album and listened to it all summer.
I’ve listened to this band for over 10 years. I will admit a lot of their older stuff is better than their newer but that’s personal preference. Glad you got to check them out!
If you wanna hear some of TWA's heavier stuff I'd recommend "The Wretched" "The Hounds of Anubis" or "2012". They've also covered "Heartless" by Kanye and "Over The Mountain" by Ozzy. Edit: simular to BMTH the farther back you go the heavier the music, but I love all the albums they've put out
The Drummer is Luke Holland, i cant remember but you might’ve reacted to something by him and Jason Richardson? If you haven’t i highly recommend it. He left TWA a few years back, and did drums on I See Stars’ Treehouse, and Starset’s Divisions. Crazy good drummer.
Michael Morris That was the First Song I ever Heard by TWA way back in the day. Honestly I never knew they ever released a version of it with Craig still on Vocals. I’ll have to check it out.
Great reaction chris to life cycles by the word alive. This song is one of my favourites from the self titled second album & luke holland is one of my favourite drummers in metalcore. You should check out luke holland's youtube channel he does all sorts of drum covers from his favourite bands like memphis may fire august burns red & woe is me all the way up to artists like skrillex & ellie goulding. Please react to the hounds of anubis the wretched featuring david stephens from we came as romans dream catcher or 2012 featuring levi benton from miss may i all fantastic songs by the band. Well done chris keep the reactions coming.
Dude in all honesty you have been sleeping on these guys! Hands down one if my favorite bands to see live!! Check out Dragonspell, 2012, Entirety, Casanova Rodeo, Trappes, Play The Victim, Lighthouse, or Hounds Of Anubis next!
Good call checking out TWA, their older stuff is the heaviest while their newer stuff is still good its more on the rock spectrum of music. Their first LP Deceiver is still one of my all time faves, so many songs id recommend pretty much the whole album lol. Specifically, The Hounds of Anubis, The Wretched, Consider it Mutual, 2012, Battle Royale, and Apologician will always be among my faves.
Luke Holland is one of the best drummers man, I think he was 19 right here and had just joined the band. His has some amazing songs with Jason Richardson
These guys have a ton of amazing songs, would love to see you dive in to their library further man! Hope you're doing good and not dealing with all the fires, its a nightmare here, this is a nice break!
Finally a TWA reaction. You should react to Branded next. Also you still really need to react to songs by Chiodos, In Fear & Faith, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, A Skylit Drvie, & Woe Is Me. They are all too good of bands for you not to check out. Chiodos - The Undertaker's Thirst for Revenge is Unquenchable In Fear & Faith - The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions Scary Kids Scaring Kids - Faces A Skylit Drvie - All It Takes for Your Dreams to Come True Woe Is Me - A Story To Tell
They are awesome :D The singer's a really cool dude, met him a few times, check out any video fof them, they are all good and different :) I'd suggest Entirety or Sellout
The word alive- Empire Ep, best album by far. I been listening to it recently in 2020. Best songs, Battle Royale, Quit while your ahead, The only rule is there is no rule, and How do build and empire (but the best version is not on this ep). GL
hey, chris! love your reaction so much! please check luke holland covers (ex the world alive drummer) he is insane and pretty popular. i think you will love it. aaand you are actually right: when this video was shot luke was 18 or 19 years old so he's probably looks high school

So glad you called out WCAR vibes - similar sound, cleans and screams, orchestral backing, positive message. Solid stuff. But you need to get back to reacting to WCAR! You’re slacking!

Lights and stones by the word alive is an amazing and meaningful song with a great message especially for the times we are living in today

@@Owlicks123 there are a few songs I prefer to Deceiver. 2012, and Hounds Of Anubis being 2 of them
Jake Morse I first heard the song “The Wretched” and pretty much fell in love with their early material.
Hounds is such an underrated song in the metal(core) community. That album is top tier song writing and hounds has technicality, catchiness, pace, brutality and transitional class. Just incredible. Deceiver is TOP SHELF
Dude has some of the best live vocals I've ever seen, also the nicest guy I've met in my life!
I'd never heard of this band and then they came and played at my university and I was stunned at A) how good the songs were, and B) how amazing his vocals were live. I immediately went home and bought the Life Cycles album and listened to it all summer.
Ohhhh yeah, "Hounds of Anubis", "2012", "Glass Castle", "Broken Circuit", "The Wretched", "Casanova Rodeo", all bangers.

If you wanna hear some of TWA's heavier stuff I'd recommend "The Wretched" "The Hounds of Anubis" or "2012". They've also covered "Heartless" by Kanye and "Over The Mountain" by Ozzy. Edit: simular to BMTH the farther back you go the heavier the music, but I love all the albums they've put out
Even though people aren’t super big on their new stuff their song monomania hits some big time feels and shows off the singer telle’s voice so much
