The pity builders one hits so hard, its to accurate. They build pity only to not lose the 50/50 and get the featured unit and either become sad or content.
I’ve been building pity since day one in Genshin and now star rail. I feel it’s worth it to get 4 star dups but then again I have never gotten a five star when i didn’t want to
I like building pity. Ironically, the only time i don't do it is not when im saving for a 5* but instead when a new 4* comes.
I’m a sushang main and I had to get to pity 50 with guaranteed just for her E1, I must admit, I have never felt such amounts of fear in my life, and joy when I got something (her E1)
I'm scared of building pity in hsr cuz on jing yuan's banner I got yanqing pity 76, jing yuan pity 1 and yanqing again pity 7. Tried to get sushang got e2 yanqing instead. I'm kinda happy with my e2 yanqing now tho cuz I got his lc (saw the hunt symbol and thought it was his e3 and was about to cry) and he does a shit ton of dmg. The funny thing is that I'm now on pity 52 on the character banner so that means I didn't stop building pity even after I got yanqing at pity 7 lmfao. Finally got sushang and I'll get Luocha next.
whenever i try to save my primos/jades i never go above 1000. i cant stand watching it sit there for some reason. its not even because i want a 4 star, genshin just left me with a gambling addiction
We are all Cocolia Boss Music Enjoyers, and you can't convince me otherwise. They did not need to go that hard with the soundtrack, but I'm glad they did.

I’m like a mix of everything 😂 Sometimes grinding, sometimes not. Sometimes just enjoying the music. Sometimes spending all my jade for pulls. But I’ve got Jing Yuan and his light cone now, so it’s time to save for Luocha :3 (already have 4000 jade, yeyy)

Isn't Luocha a bit useless once you have Natasha and Bailu? I'm thinking about saving for Seele's rerun, but the soonest it could happen is october. So I'm going to try and get some characters while waiting.
nice i got 4600 jades and 7 passes and i heard f2p can save upto 8180 jades and 15 more passes till the end of 1.1 so i think i can gurantee kafka cuz i am alr on 52 pity rn and also F2P btw

The problem with getting the banner 5-star early as a F2P is that you can't use the rest of your rolls till the next banner.

Why not? You will be reset to 50/50 again and chance of getting banner 5 star again pre soft pity is beyond miniscule. You can easily pull for 4 stars if yo got desired 5 star early as F2P

NGL, the casual player seems like the real pro... at enjoying this game while keeping their sanity.
Also, saving your wishes, at least enough to guarantee the 5 star you really want, is based. Sacrifices have to be made and you can't reasonably expect to get every 5 star as an F2P. Yes we all have that friend who is ridiculously lucky and can almost consistently win 50/50s and get early 5 stars, but they aren't the majority.

I'm kind of a gacha addict and a grinder at the same time since I'm addicted to the process of collecting stellar jades while planning to get a character actually. But then when I finally start pulling, I have fun for like the first 10 pulls and then I just feel empty and sad for the rest lol
I'm the Grinder and also Saves wishes for future character. I avoided all the banners until I could wish for Blade and Dan Heng IL to come home. But I relate with the #1 where I have my bad luck and my brother managed to get E2 Blade (f2p) and he laughed at my face, showing off his luck...
(He got E1 at pity 12 and E2 at pity 5, then there's my E0 because I wanna save the rest of my pulls for Dan Heng)

Definitely a F2P grinder, I overthink of the possibility that I might not get my favorite character in the character banner, I had to grind dailies and events to collect and save more jades as possibly so i have a backup plan. Unfortunately I didn't get SW but I'm guaranteed for Kafka so its all worth it in the end.
I don't understand the patience of people who save so many jades, if I see a promotional character that I like I will spend every last drop to have it
Casual f2p, but I became a grinder due to dumping all my jade into the standard banner...Got Yanqing, his light cone, and Bronya's and Clara's light cones, so I was somewhat broke when Jing rolled around. I grinded to get him and won 50/50, so I'm casual again.
Edit: Forgot I got Bailu too lol
Edit 2: Finally got my Geppie from 300/300…and Bronya and another one of her light cones a few pulls before him. A few 10 pulls for E6 QQ on Luocha’s banner got me her and Himeko. And I got lucky when I decided to pull Blade; got him and his light cone early.
To the people who are still hard pressed over my decision: Y’all have fun while I continue to enjoy playing how I want.

I'm kinda a mixture between grinder and casual. I grinded early on, now I'm too weak to grind more so I casually spend energy to upgrade my units.
A little bit of lucky player, like not 2 within a ten pull and no light cone pulls but I did win 50/50s on both banners on 2 accounts and I did get some early 5*s from standard. Also Cocolia boss fight music enjoyer.
I wish every 160 unless I'm saving for someone and am high on pity, too. So far building pity wasn't an act I regretted, but the one that greatly benefited me. I'm going to stop now, though, because I don't want an Eidolon or Silver Wolf, though. I want Luocha.
I must confess, i am saving wishes for blade since the beginning of this month, currently i've 70 wishes for him and i hope to have at least 180 wishes for him.
I started playing in 1.1, and because I missed Seele, I went without pulling for two and a half patches, skipping all the Stellaron Hunters, Luocha, and Dan IL
Even now I still admire my self-restraint. I mean I don't think I'll ever go that long without pulling ever again
Life hack, have two accounts. One where you save so you can throw it all into a character you like simultaneously, and one to release your gacha addiction

My gacha addiction isn't that bad, I've always been quite disciplined. In fact my compulsive hoarding is paying off even now - I've never gone below 20k jades, and I have every character I want. Life is great

I’ve been kind of lucky, I haven’t lost any 50/50s yet but all of my 5* have been at about 70 something pity (except for Jing Yuan, who came home at 3 pity when I pulled on his banner for Tingyun)

I was also really lucky. I haven't lost 50/50 at all and all of them came early except for IL (81 pity but others didn't even reach 30)

Yeah I like the way you're thinking. I personally surely will be using Himeko and Jing Yuan For a long time despite the fact that they won't stay in the same party.

I got two back to back Jing Yuan's on my first two 10 pulls on his banner. Now that Silver wolf is out I'm already 50 pulls deep on the first night and no copy yet. I didn't even care for Jing Yuan that much but if I cam get two Silver Wolf's ill be happy

Im a lucky f2p. My first week I got Seele, e2 Gepard, Himeko, then on Huohuo's banner i pulled her in one 10 pull. Started playing in late Oct. Also i turned into the gacha addict doing 1 pulls but im trying to restrain myself now. Ive never been able to be a saver but i will try my best bc i really want kafka during her rerun.
I build up pity (and optimal: the 50/50) before desired character/lightcone appears, pull the character/lightcone, grind for future characters/lightcones and repeat step 1.
Saving for characters with a sprinkle of pity building.
I'm the type who loves music during the battle with Kokolia (it's very atmospheric), and the one who saves up for Kafka>

I’m definitely in the lucky pulls category, cus excluding silverwolf(idr how many pulls it took), only 1 of my 5stars actually took me to hard pity, I got both argenti and imbibitor lunae in less then 20 pulls each, on top of that to date I have not lost a single 50/50 which is INSANE considering I’ve got like 4 5stars without losing it once yet(you could prob consider bronya from the standard banner among that too lol). Currently I have about 100 or so pulls saved up for sparkle, then after that I’m gonna try and pull for archeon(if she’s good), then I THINK loucha is the next banner after that, which I want for a mono-imaginary team(3 imaginaries and silverwolf)
My dream team rn is loucha, silverwolf, sparkle, and IL, which if all goes well I should be able to achieve

Well, I'm a F2P and have: Seele + Light Cone, Silver Wolf + Light Cone, all 4 stars character (all on E4/E6) BUT, in my first account, I DON'T HAVE SAMPO. All characters on level 60 and 80 - Seele, Caelus, Welt E1, Silver Wolf, March 7th, Serval, Gepard.(light cone too), all characters with relic 5 star level 15 and I have did everything in the game. Oh, and Rank 62. I'm F2P btw.

I think I belong to the Lucky F2P since I got more than 80% of the total characters as I always get most of them below 30 pulls which some below 10 pulls. I'm just short of obtaining 5-6 5-Star characters with two of them being standard.
Also I have at least 160 pulls ready to get any guaranteed character I want before I even explore the 2.0 map yet, getting the special pass and star jades from redeem codes, daily check-in and mail, and doing the event yet. 😁
Btw, this is the top 3 worst performance as I only managed to get Black Swan in 78 pulls.

Got a Bronya at guaranteed 50 draw, then draw at blade and won and only at 20 pity, I pull in standard and got 2 brionya, then I tried to pull for 1 blade and won gain. I'm still in the icy planet, hope next planet is good
