The whole concept of them being friends for so many years and now taking that really big step in their relationship and how they would navigate such a big change. Not to mention the hilarity and hijinx that could happen in the build up episode when it finally happens 😂

I didnt think the last episode could be topped, but I think this one could very well be my new NEW favorite. The Creddie main plot was even more breathtaking than the last like how do these writers just nail it every time with these two 😭Nathan as usual is the MVP but i really think Miranda did an amazing job capturing Carly's vulnerability and anxiety. I've rewatched the scene on the picnic blanket COUNTLESS times already and i still find it hard not to have a physical reaction to it. it's incredibly moving and sincere. also the subplot reminded me a lot of the original iCarly wackiness, and i'm glad that they went with only one instead of two so the episode could feel tighter. w the video game addiction theme it brings back fond memories of iStage an Intervention which is one of my favorite og episodes (and one that just so happens to have a lot of cute Creddie scenes too lol). i really enjoy Harper and Millicent's friendship 💕 btw this season feels way funnier than the previous ones, the writers are just on their A-game across the board. we're only 4 episodes in but if the season is consistently on this level of greatness i think it will EASILY be the best season of the revival so far. thanks for the video and making such quality reviews for my obsession!
With your question in regards with Carly, I think the hint towards the finale with revealing something that "fans have been questioning for a long time", we might have Carly's lack of confrontation skills somehow be tied with the mystery of her mother. Granted, them actually connecting Carly's inability to communicate directly being correlated to her mother, and her working on that this season through her relationship with Freddie, might be a little too deep for "iCarly" I think if the writers were really gunning for character development (which honestly they did an AMAZING job with last episode) I think this could be an explanation. It might also explain why they start their relationship early in the season so they can build on what needed to be "fixed" within their relationship for an endgame marriage type scenerio.

I feel Carly had developed those feelings for him even before he'd saved her life back then but just she never embraced it nor thought they could be more than friends(as Freddie was always there for her) in that light. When he got with Pearl (in spite of their Creddie fake dating at that time) was it really finally begun to hit her.
I think another Easter egg, is that this isn’t the first time Spencer used a “health emergency” to get people to drop what they’re doing to see what he made. I remember in the original Icarly, Carly and Spencer’s place got robbed. So Spencer was determined to make some security system. In that episode, he faked some emergency to get Carly and Freddie to rush to check on him . Side note- he did so knowing full well they’re in school, they cut class to check on him. Only to find he made some popcorn turret gun thing that ended up pelting Freddie’s mom.
I know the last two comments of the previous episodes, I’ve focused on the Freddie character but still, I am amazed how the writers have given him swagger and again it’s on full display in this episode. He’s so confident now, doesn’t give a rat’s ass at times, he’s very caring but yet has an edge to him. The way his tone was in expressing his love and being in love with Carly, you could see Carly’s expression of “oh shit, I have a mature man who will take care of me, call me out on my BS, and will love me for me.”After Carly had said her reasons for not wanting to make the relationship go public just yet and wanting to protect Freddie, you could see his expression “I got this, don’t you worry about the outside noise” and then her declaration of love which he’s been longing for and finally got, I think these two will last until the end of time. I was hoping they had slept together already but it feels like the writers might wait on pulling the trigger on that one.
I am glad that Creddie is finally public, but I do understand why Carly wanted to keep their relationship private. Even though they are getting good comments from the loyal ICARLY nation, if they are not careful, it could easily turn into toxic fandom. A prime example of that is in the episode I start a fan war with the #Creddie fans vs. #Seddie fans, it turned into a full-on mob fight. BTW I am surprised that special wasn't mentioned in this episode

While worded weirdly in the episode I kind of got the impression that she was more afraid of making it public due to all the history of them "being together" and not actually being together in the past in relation to their podcast. I could see how she thought that might have scared Freddie or doubt their relationship. That honestly makes more sense in my mind than Freddie, who has been made fun of from Sam and the internet from the beginning, needing "protection".
I was kind of surprised they didn't let us hear any of them say what the drones looked like, especially considering what happened to Freddie at the end of season 1.
This episode proved even more that Freddie never got over Carly and was still waiting on her. I can't help but feel bad for both of his ex-wives and Sam that they were always second choices to him! If Carly said that she wanted him during his relationships he'd break up with the other woman immediatly. That's kind of messed up and why I really think that Carly was the 100% reason why both his marriages ended in divorce. They saw how he always looked at Carly and always being there for her. He can shut off his feelings for Carly all he wants but you can't shut those kind of feelings off all the way! The seddie fans were already mad but after this episode they finally have the proof that Sam was always Freddie's second choice and they are really pissed! 😂 I don't think they already slept with each other because Carly was always innocent in that subject. I can see her planning the perfect evening to take that step. They are both planners and overthinkers so I hope they do an episode about that because that would be a hilarious episode with both of them acting like that! And we know how Carly is a perfectionist especially if it involves Freddie's happiness and her anxiety takes over. 😂
This episode was the closest to the original show. The A Plot & B plot were balanced perfectly. I think the key to that is Spencer, & to a lesser extent Freddie. Spencer is the living embodiment of Nickelodeon humor, & Jerry Trainor always delivers in that dept. Freddie keeps things grounded, & having Spencer be kind of in both bridged it w/o too much trouble. When Carly talked about protecting Freddie I kept thinking of the convention ep. The show could tackle how despite a decade between that ep & the present, Carly was young & it wouldnt be far fetched for that to freak her out. Carly's naivete being played up to skirt around uncomfortable questions works bc its implied she knows whats really going on but uses it to get out of things that she feels uncomfortable w/. Thats what she did in the original series while Sam was ready to fight.
I liked this episode and I think that the show will make a big deal out of Freddie and Carly sleeping together, just like was the case on The Big Bang Theory with Amy and Sheldon. I enjoy this episode a lot not as much ep 3 but still really good. I love how Carly and Freddie together is just Carly and Freddie but they kiss now I’m so glad the writers haven’t tried to change them or make them different at all. I think Carly’s reasoning makes sense to her, I’ve always described Carly as a massive ball of anxious energy it’s one of the reasons I love her so much. So for some one like Carly being worried to go public is just like her. It also reinforces what she told Freddie in ep 3 “you help me do the things I know I have to do even when I really don’t want too”

But just from people's ardent love for this show and those two people, they'd better find a way for these two to get married before tney put a period at the end of this show because if they don't, they'll never be able to leave their houses.
