Einfach atemberaubend!
I could hear this a thousand times (and I probably have since I own a Japanese red vinyl record of it I got in the 70s) and it never fails to thrill me with that amazing ecstatic finish! Thanks again for posting it.
The first movement "Capriccio" shows strong affinity with the kind of writing American composer George Antheil was doing in 1948. It may be coincidental, but the resemblance is striking.
@@FleuveAlphee Akutagawa went to the USSR in 1954 and was friends with many of the Soviet composers. This is music inspired by the best of Shostakovitch and the worst of Stalinism.

I share your feelings adding the 2nd movement is also great. Young Japan just after the 2nd World War is here.
Thanks for posting this wonderful piece. It has long been one of my favorites. The crescendo at the end is always so exciting to hear!
This was magnificent. 22 minutes of utter bliss.
Most grateful! Lovely music.
Thank you, sincerely.
This is a delight.
thank you!!!

It sounds like the symphonies of Silvestre Revueltas.
Shostakovich Festive Overture 4:08?
This is Japanesque .
I am immersed in pleasure while listening to this wonderful song .
Delightful Soviet music. Thanks for posting. One problem: the painting does not match the music.
Soviet?
